So 24 hrs till check in and besides coming to reality that this is all happening tomorrow I am really dreading 3 things....
1. IV in hand....Ouch! Why can it not be in the arm?
2. Catheter - can they spray some numb spray down there real quick?
3. Nurses - Feeling upset dealing with someone I have never seen - I have been with my OB for 9months and she will come in the final stage or even minutes. I am also being a control freak about shift changes...I don't want to have 2-3+ nurses (I know that's how it goes and they need breaks)
What are your concerns?
Re: Induced Worries
Thanks!!! Makes me feel better
Natural Miscarriage 2006
BFP March 19th! - Due Date11/25/14
-Having to be induced due to my high fluid levels
-The fact that I can't get an epidural due to bleeding issues
-Excessive bleeding
-C-section from complications if they induce
-Complications from high fluid level (the term "increased morbidity" really scares me)
-Episiotomy or tearing
-Family pushing to come to the hospital before I'm ready
My concerns are
-bleeding, my platelets have been low this entire pregnancy
-the pain, I'm usually ok with some pain, but considering I have no clue the level and degree of this impending pain it's scares the mess outta me lol.
-complications, I just want my son to be healthy, and he is healthy, but I know things can happen
-c-section, this is general just makes me nervous. I think I will be ok as long as I have my Husband there holding my hand.
-family trying to be all up in my business and trying to worm their way into the room, or be annoying trying to get to see him 2.5 seconds after he's born. I know I'm not a nice person when in pain or with no sleep, so it's going to be interesting lol.
Once I get the epi I didn't feel anything from the cath to even cervical checks.
overall my experience was pretty great. Even with a few scary moments during the process . Good luck to all you ladies
What the heck is wrong with me
Also once I had my epidural I actually slept for a few hours and progressed the most.
I also surprisingly wasn't hungry until the very end because I was so pumped full of IV fluids.
I ended up with a c-section due to my bone structure. DD's head wouldn't fit through my pelvic bone. I also knew it was a really strong possibility too, due to family history and bone structure but I wanted to try and my Dr. let me
Also a very good friend of mine had to be induced last February and other then the pitocin went with med free vaginal birth. (Ironic to say med free with an induction I know)
