happy news - my work computer has a virus and IT thinks it's going to be a while - so here I am!
I drove both ways this weekend, so no bumping happened, but I was much more comfortable in the drivers seat so that's how I got that job. We won't get our pictures back for a week but what I saw on the camera screen looked great!
Hayley started sleeping through the night about 3 weeks ago, and stopped nursing altogether a month ago. So I get sleep these days.
But daycare and grandma are making me pull out my hair. I had daycare call me in for a meeting where they effectively accused me of not feeding Hayley enough (which I calmly explained we had gone ounce by ounce with the pediatrian and she disagrees with their "professional daycare" opinions) and then the teacher formula shamed me. I had compassion before ladies, but after experiencing it first hand I have so much more- people really suck! Grandma is feeding cookies and extras these days and won't listen to anyone when we tell her to stop. Just cutting her out is not an option, I shopped around and encountered long wait lists for daycare alternates so we are a bit stuck at the moment. But it's ok, Hayley is happy and healthy and a few cookies might balance out daycare, right?
I know I've missed so much! But I have no clue what- so please fill me in on anything important I need to know! I want to write happy birthday to each and every baby that has already celebrated this month but I am not that good on mobile, so please accept my heartfelt happy birthday and congratulations to each and every momma and baby here- it has been a difficult year, but we made it and I can't imagine doing this without you ladies- can we for real organize a national get together? Because what we have here is special- I don't know anyone else that has this!
I know this is far gone into dear diary territory but I am excited to be here and I'm going to try and come back to play more often but work is actually making me work! Rude I know!
I hope everyone on N13 is happy and healthy and enjoying the babies turning into toddlers!!!! I missed you crazy ladies!!!!!!
Re: waving hi like a crazy lady!
Basically, @mrscatfarmer13 a recap- the daycare teacher, let's call her "M", found out Hayley was drinking formula and all of a sudden bottles were difficult. She had been on formula for a month but I hadn't had a reason to mention it to M because all bottles are brought pre-filled to daycare. Then food was a problem. So the meeting happened so the director could hear my side and M at the same time. In the meeting the daycare teacher suggested we switch to milk because " I breastfed my babies for 16 months each and they went straight to milk, they never needed formula". As I stopped my head from exploding I gathered my cool and explained that she had been on formula exclusively for close to a month with no issues I would not be discussing it further, end of story. We then proceeded to argue and debate solids, they prefer jars over pouches. My lord. This woman is impossible- I miss the baby room!
