This morning we ran into another mom and toddler that we know from a class last year, and it turned into lunch. It was nice to have a midday chat with another adult, even if we were constantly being interrupted by our kids.
IMMS that my boss was willing and happy to have a real conversation with me about our potential relocation. She gave me some really good advice, and has been the only single person to flat out tell me "if I were you, or you were my daughter, this is what I would do/suggest." Everyone has been very supportive of me, and promises they will support me whichever way we decide. But sometimes an opinion is nice too.
It also MMS to see how excited E was to see P when we got home. She ran to her screaming "sister!" and spent the whole evening doing everything she could think of with/for/to P. BFFL!

IMMS that L has taken an interest in books. He'll say book, bring it over, and then he'll backup to sit in my lap. Before this he didn't care about books at all.
Also, we went mushroom hunting for chanterelles. It was cold and we only found a few, but when I gave them to L he insisted on putting them into the bag himself. Mushroom hunting was such a fun thing for me growing up. I hope that he enjoys it, too!
I left the house this morning for work...routine. But M was perfectly fine staying and hanging with Daddy...not routine. My leaving (or even putting my shoes on to go) usually cues tears and a lot of sadness
Not this morning. M waved at me and said bye
It was really sweet. And I smiled Then cried on my drive because he didn't even want to nurse before I left . Where has my baby gone?
It makes me smile (ok, it makes me giggle like a 14 year old boy) that my kids have discovered and love The Woody the Woodpecker Show. Now H randomly brings me the remote yelling "want pecker! Want pecker!"
Also overheard at the Meesh household all month.

We had a pretty successful weekend with potty training. We had two accidents over the weekend. Both because she didn't get on the potty quick enough and got the tile floor in the bathroom next to her potty
And I'm pretty sure the pull up we used on Saturday night was dry the next morning. I resorted to pull up because I wanted something a little more absorbent than trainers and she likes to use the potty 1-3 times before going to bed. If this keeps up, I think I'll switch her to trainers at night and see how that goes.
I'm smiling because that means I have a lot less diaper laundry to do.
Just watched good old Bill on the tube talking about how great his school/my grad school alma matter is. Jealous I didn't get to hang out with him and Hillary this weekend like all my friends did though.
IMMS to hear the way N describes things. The other day he pooped in the potty and was delighted to exclaim, "Look at dat big brown banana poop! It has rocks in it!" I'm also incredibly happy that pooping =/= a near death experience in his eyes anymore.
My DH was traveling back from a 2 week long hunting trip yesterday and I've been a bit stressed lately. He texted me to watch this video on YouTube and said "that's your song". DH is so not mushy but it brought me to tears...
V now says "burp" whenever G burps. He also laughs whenever G fartsorpoops. Such a boy. I also found V reading Mr. brown can Moo, and he was flipping through the pages making the various sounds on each page. V has also learned how to say thank you, but says it when he hands you something. He'sjust been learning so much! G has been staying awake longer, and laughing and talking even more. He'll happily watch and talk to big brother, and give him tons of smiles.
