Can someone help me....RE Shipping refrigerated meds

Guys I don't know where to buy dry ice around here. How do I ship meds over night? I called UPS and they were zero help. Can I just use ice packs for over night instead of dry ice? Thank you!!! Sorry just trying to get this shipped out!

Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    I bought dry ice at the grocery store to ship my breast milk. It stayed frozen for 3 days.


    TTC#1 for 19 months with PCOS and MFI IUI#3 + injectables = BFP!!!!  Beta#1-134(13dpiui) Beta #2-392(15dpiui)

    When the pharmacy sent my meds they just packed it in a ups shipping envelope and had an ice pack.
    Could you check with your local pharmacy ?

    No that's a good call. I went to target which had ZERO and only one type of ice pack. So I will definitely try again. I bought a freezer bag and when I got home it said only keeps cold for 4 hours. WTF. Really any freezer bag should be okay right?

    My friend tried to ship me ivf meds last dec and she got a styrofoam insulated box and then ups got waylaid in a storm and it took them 5d to reach me. In that case it was a problem because I couldn't guarantee the meds hadn't frozen en route. I had to buy all new locally at the ivf pharmacists revommendation. That said, you can get styrofoam insulated boxes. That plus ice packs should be ok. GL

    I shipped meds this summer and I bought this box on Amazon. It worked really well. Hope that helps!

    ER 4/13 - 19R, 13F, 4 PGS tested embryos, 1 normal
    5/14 FET: BFP. Beta #1: 123, Beta #2: 327, Beta #3: 854
    Cora arrived 1/23/15 via RCS!

    If the meds are meant to be refrigerated and NOT frozen, you do NOT want to use dry ice because it will freeze your meds and possibly ruin them.

    Ice packs in an insulated envelope or styrofoam box is what you want to keep things around 4 degrees C.



    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    If you know anyone who works in a lab, they can hook you up. I always had access to many styrofoam shipping containers and ice packs that way. They were free for the taking.

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP

    I don't know anyone :/ And I can't find a small styrofoam but it's okay! Going to just use my medella bag and ice packs. It really should be okay.
