ok this might be a dumb question but when starting oatmeal cereal...it says to mix 2oz of formula with cereal an hour after evening feeding...do you subtract the 2oz from that evening feeding?

    I give DD her normal amount at feeding then give her the cereal with the formula mixed in. It really depends on your LO, if the additional food is too much then cut the two ounces out at the evening feeding. See what works for your LO and go with it.

    I wouldn't cut it from the earlier feeding when you're starting out on the cereal.  The first several times is LO getting the hang of it so they probably won't get it all in their stomach.  It's practice and it's messy and you can't know if they would get full off of it.
