Swaddle trouble

I know we've had threads on swaddles, but I think I'm in an awkward stage:
1) I can't put her in her sleep sacks or do the super swaddle because she is rolling over.
2) I waited and finally got two small zipdeezips. They do not stifle her Moro reflex enough and is still too big (she's 13 pounds). (Also, the material smelled weird... Had to wash it twice, but that's another thread).
3) I have a woombie with the side cushions and love it but I doubt I get her into it longer than a week; she's outgrowing it. I don't want to pay for another one just to transition out of swaddles altogether.

Any one else figure out a way to transition? She's sleeping 12 hours now, so I'm afraid to rock the boat. She's 3 months:)

Re: Swaddle trouble

  • I bought baby merlins magic sleepsuit and LO really seems to like it.
  • Loading the player...
  • I feel like with any transition your going to both loose some sleep for a while. Finally getting DD into the crib and out of the RNP for naps and the first stretch of sleep (still swaddled). We are getting shorter naps and went from one motn wake up back up to two. **sigh**

Not looking forward to loosing the swaddle. We tried our zippidyzip for one nap and one night but it went horribly.

  • We are doing naps in the crib in a magic sleepsuit. Works pretty well. She is 12 weeks and 12-13 lbs.

  • Sleep sacks are fine when they roll over. They can move in those.
