Pack and play

Did anybody have a pack and play with a changer? Did you think it was worth having it. I will also have a changing table in the nursery but keep the pack and play in living room and master bedroom

Re: Pack and play

  • My PnP was a hand-me-down from my cousin and did not come with a changer... and I don't feel that I would have needed one.  I have a single story home, so no matter when a diaper change is needed I don't have to do stairs to get to his nursery.

  • We had a pack n play with changer for downstairs and changing table upstairs.  I agree it's best to have one on each floor.
  • I also have the pack and play with the changer set up downstairs and the changing table upstairs. Since we are downstairs most of the day, that one gets more use than the actual changing table at this point. I think how useful it would be just depends on the setup of your house. When my first was a baby we lived in a one story condo, so I only needed one changing station.
  • I have the pnp with the change station in my living room and it's where all the diapers get changed. I change middle of the night diapers on my bed for now because he's still in his bassinet and not in his crib yet, but even when he's officially in his room, I'll only be changing night time diapers in there.
I really like it and totally find it convenient.
  • We have one, but only use it when visiting/staying over night at my parents.  We have a changing station upstairs, but no real changing station on the 1st floor or the basement (which is finished and we spend a lot of time down there).  We have baskets with all of our changing supplies with a changing pad on each level.  This works well for us, but I don't mind getting the changing things out as needed.
  • Mine has it but i've never used it. It seems way too low to be comfortable. But then I'm 5'9 so maybe that's why.
  • I have a PnP with a changing station and I love it. I spend most of my day in the living room so it's very handy for me. Since my LO is room sharing with us, I keep a diaper caddy upstairs and just use a receiving blanket on the bed if we're upstairs and she needs to be changed.
  • Yes.  Loved having this in the living room where baby and i spend most of our time during the day.  :)

  • We have a regular PNP downstairs, I wish we would have gotten one with a changer.

  • Also have a PNP with changer downstairs and it's wonderful to not have to go upstairs to nursery everytime we need to change. :)
  • I bought a used Chico play yard that stays in my bedroom for lo to sleep in. It has a changing table with it that is suspended from the top with buckles but when I buckle it in and put lo in it the thing seems to tilt to one side and he starts to roll to that side. I tried to mess with it to get it more stable but it seems like more trouble than its worth so I don't use it. I have a changing mat I put him on top when needed and move it when it's bedtime or nap time
  • We have one that stays in our room. Our daughter was sleeping there at night until recently and we would bathe her in the attached bathroom. It was nice to have a changing station for those reasons. My DH didn't use it much because he was so tall, but I'm 5'5" and it worked for me. She's 4 months now and getting too long for the changer.

  • I have a Graco PnP with a changer. It was very useful when LO slept in the napper portion of the PNP. However, at 8 weeks we moved her to her own room and haven't used it since. Also, as PP mentioned about the Chicco, our changer tilts pretty significantly and nothing fixes it. I have friends that have the same complaint. It is annoying!
  • We have the pnp with a changer and am so glad we got it. We use the pnp as her bassinet right now and its in our room. Its our primary diaper changing station right now as the nursery is on the other side of the house.
