Bedtime

What time does your LO go to bed?

Re: Bedtime

  • 6:30. I wish he would go down a bit later, but every time we try to push him later he doesn't sleep as well.
Older dd goes to bed at 7ish but usually sings and talks to herself until around 8.

  • We put dd down at 7 but she cries and then it's a struggle until 8-8:30 so I'm going to try to keep her up until 8 tonight and see if she goes down more easily.
  • Teething and this growth spurt broke my baby, so now bedtime is at 10:30. It's killer.
  • Bath, books and boob start at 7. Usually have both down for 7:30.
  • Asleep no later than 7.

  • About 8:30 but I'm a SAHM so he sleeps in late too. It works for us so my DH actually gets some time with him. Our other 2 go to bed about 9. Once school starts and they have to get up early, we'll adjust.
  • Ok so didnanyone ever manage to get baby to go to sleeep on their own without doing CIO?
  • 7-7:15

  • Bedtime routine starts at 7 and then in bed around 7:30.
  • I struggle to keep him up passed 5:30 without him dissolving into a total mess. I'd love to work towards pushing him towards 7:00-ish so both kids go down together and the bedtime routine can be shared.

  • 7. Sometimes starting routine at 7, sometimes in crib asleep by 7. Just depends on the night and how he's doing.

  • Between 6:00 and 6:30.  He's STTN and up between 5:30 and 6:30 am for the day.  Like PPs have said, we've tried to push bedtime closer to 7 with hopes of waking later in the morning without luck.  Just following his lead.

We did the Ferber method. It didn't take long for LO to learn to self-soothe. Bedtime is a lot nicer now!
    How long?

  • Start bedtime routine at 7 (bath, quiet play time, bottle/rocking) she use to go down at 8 but for the past 4 days she's been fighting sleep hard and wants to play (last night she was playing until 10:30). It is super annoying because we get no baby free time and she still isn't STTN.

I start my new job on Monday so we'll see how that affects her sleep schedule. Prior to that I was a SAHM so she got to sleep in and nap whenever she wanted.
  • Bedtime at 7pm. We're lucky in that LO goes down happy and awake for this one, and usually doesn't even need a pacifier. We did let him fuss a bit when he was younger and we'd put him down awake, so I think that helped.

Now, if only he'd stay asleep for longer than 3 hours at a time...

This exactly. Last night LO napped from 5:30-6:30 (yikes) and went to bed at 8:30. Most nights it's closer to 7:30.

  • Wish I didn't read this now! Bath bottle bed starts at 7/8 pm and he eventually sleeps after fussing/full on screaming 10/11pm :(( he also doesn't Sttn we are normally up 1 3 5 6am then for the day. Boooo
  • She goes down between 9 &10 usually cause we don't get home until late but she STTN and I usually have to wake her in the morning. As a single mom I consider myself lucky that she is so easy.
  • 6-6:30 & wake around 6:30-7am

Have you tried an earlier bedtime? LO will fall asleep on her own if she's not too tired, but if she is, it's a cryfest. We are also up a lot at night since she discovered there was too much distance between her and mommy. She used to sleep 7pm-8am before the 4 mo sleep regression. Then reality hit.

  • Around 6. Sometimes he goes down closer to 530 if his 3pm nap is skipped. He sleeps until about 530-6am and wakes up anywhere from 2-5X a night.
  • 7 pm- give or take and she sleeps until 6 or 7 am
  • 6:30. If we try to push it later, we end up regretting it. I wish it were a little later.

  • 9:30 on the dot. He's done this every night since he's been born. He's still never STTN though.
  • Somewhere between 7-830. Any earlier or later we regret it. I started letting him nap around 430-5 and we're all much happier.
  • Down at 7:30- up 7:30.

We've tried a new thing, instead of avoiding naps after 5.30 I let him have one, he doesn't go to sleep until 11pm then but he hasn't had the screaming fits. And hes only waking twice through the night. Day 4 and it seems to be working
