ED vs EOD

We have been trying ED with no luck so I decided this month to try EOD for kicks. Curious to see what others are doing. How often are you doing it?

We do inseminations everyday throughout my fertile window, and while I am showing almost positive and positive OPK's, and then switch to EOD until my temps confirm O.

We are TTA until we get the all clear from my OB. But we usually do ED during my fertile week when we are TTC.

My cycle is so irregular (last cycle I had EWCM for 2 weeks before I O'd) that there is no way we can keep up ED for all that time so we try for EOD.

We do a mixture of EOD and ED. During my fertile window we will do ED for the most part.

We do EOD throughout the cycle (or try) with a switch to ED when I start showing fertile signs through O.

@littleliverpill‌ did some FF sleuthing a while back and deduced, based on charts resulting in pregnancy that the rates of conception for EOD and ED were pretty much the same.

I have been pg 3 times our timing was:
1.) O-3
2.) O-1,O
3.) O-2

And so I believe that one time during fw is enough. But also his best sperm analyses happen with about 72 hours between ejaculations. So I think regular sex is good for sperm.

SS, we were ED until we hit the year mark. It became too much of a chore, so now we just try to hit as many days in the FW as we can. It we aren't into it, no humpfest. We feel less stressed about it now.

I have a very low sex drive so if we did it whenever it would be once a month or less.

So instead I have a goal of every 4 days. If I can remain consistent enough I'll bump it to 3-4 days.

We shoot for EOD. Occasionally we'll miss two nights, rarely I'll give in a couple nights in a row. DH never says no!

EOD from CD 8, ED from CD 15-17, then CD 19 was our game plan this month. ED sex is based on a positive OPK.

Glad you did this poll-- I've been wondering this myself. I've told DH that if this cycle doesn't work out, we're moving on to EOD. He's pretty disappointed.

We have sex whenever we feel like it which is typically eod. One cycle we tried ed sex and wow that was a lot, I was sore and it wasn't enjoyable.

We have sex when we want. We don't try to plan for it and I refuse to say anything to him about FW or when I'm O'ing because he feels pressured with all of that. I won't do that to him. Usually he'll ask at some point and I'll tell him then but I won't make an emphasis that we have to ED or EOD at any point.

We just do what we can. I know DD was O-5 so anything is possible. My last was O-1 or O. DH and I like sex so we take what we can get.

TTA for now, but even when we're trying we just have sex when we can/want to. Our schedules don't make ED or even EOD possible. Plus to me, there's nothing more unsexy than scheduled sex.

We try to have sex as much as possible whether I'm in my FW or not. Since I track, I'm always aware and I suppose it subconsciously affects things, but we don't stick to any strict schedule per se.

i just make it my own personal goal to get 2x during my fertile week.... that's all. i don't think either of us could do ED. i also don't mention anything to H about when I'm O'ing or whatever.

We were doing ED and it just seemed like a lot, especially on the days him or I worked 15 hours. It started to feel like a chore and MH and I really hated that.

So, we moved to EOD and some extra if we felt like it.

Same here. I initially put EOD in the poll, but it's more whenever we feel like it. I am trying for EOD this cycle and so far it's been pretty close. Typically we would have sex 2-3 times a week, but I definitely notice a heightened libido during FW. Guess that's a good thing, hehe.

I try for EOD or no more than 2 days in between during the fertile days. I try not to let dh know it is fertile week. If he specifically asks I will inform him.

I have had crazy long cycles since coming off bcp, so we aim for three days/week throughout. That is frequently enough to hit several days in my fertile week (whenever it decides to show up) but not so much that it becomes un-fun.

H and I have very weird sex drives. He always seems to want it most when AF decides to visit, and when I'm FINALLY rid of her, he could do without and it doesn't seem to bother him. He also seems to prefer those nights when I should have already been in bed to decide he wants to stay up later.

Men.

ETA: Basically, we do it whenever we both happen to be in the same mood at the same time.
