  • I'm sorry about the acid refulx, but I have no suggestions. My DD is 10 months and is not sleeping at night. Could your DC be teething too?

  • Lots of 6 months old don't sleep through the night. ?My LO is actually getting up more now than she was last month. ? I just suck it up and deal knowing that she will STTN eventually when she is ready.

Every baby is different. ?Sounds like he is just not ready to STTN. ??

  • Poor baby!  Acid reflux sounds tough on your dc and you.  I have no experience there but as for sttn, many many babies do not sttn by 6 months.  My 10 month old still does not (I am hopeful that she is close though- finally!).

  • DS is almost 11 months and still up every 2 hours like clock work.  It was so exhausting until about 1-2 months ago when my body just adjusted. I loved sleep in the past and it helps my DH helps me at night too.  DS started teething (not teeth yet) at 3-4 months (no joke) and then had 8 teeth by 8 months, which is a lot.  He is now on his 9th tooth, so your DC could be teething.  Oh and my DS never ever ever drooled so it was hard to know that it was that, but motrin (not tylenol) was the only thing that helped him.
DS- 4 years old, Natural m/c @ 7 weeks-12/1/09. Infertility issues- low ovarian reserve- low AMH and high FSH. Looking into adoption. Trying to figure out where to go with your little one? My favorite website is: Trekaroo AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers
  • Do you think it is attributed to the his reflux? K was horribly uncomfortable until he was 9 months or so and did not sleep through the night until he was 11 months old...
  • What is not STTN? My DD gets up once or twice a night to eat. If your LO is getting up a lot due to the acid relux I'd talk to the ped about it. It's one thing for them to still not be STTN at 6 months but if its due a health issue thats not good.

     Good luck.

  • Also have you tried raising the mattress on one side to help with the acid reflux? I've heard that can help them.

  • DS has struggled with reflux and he's on prilosec now. ?He still doesn't sleep through the night tho. ?Is DC up really often and crying or just getting up to eat, play etc... ?DS was getting up every 45 minutes crying so the doc upped his dose and now he's doing much better. ?Also, I stopped feeding him right before bed because it upsets his tummy. If you think it's his reflux ask the doc to up the dose or change the meds. ?

Also, I know how hard it is when your poor little one is suffering. ?It's painful for them and exhausting for you. ?I hope it gets better soon. ?I've been there- Good Luck! ??

  • My DS was on Nutramagin until 7 months and then we weaned him off of it onto Good Start soy.  Have you thought of possibly putting him on an acid reflux medicine.  We started him on Zantac around 4 weeks, and he was on it until about 5 months when he started to get immune to it.  He was then put on prilosec.  Both turned DS into an entirely new, happy child.  I would HIGHLY recommend chcking with your pedi to possibly try one of them.  GL!!  I know how it is but once you find the right medicine, your child will be so much more comfortable.
  • Thanks sooo much for all of your suggestions, I really appreciate the support. GL is on Axid and he's going back to ped gastro today. ?
