Food talk! What's for dinner tonight?

I always love our food posts because they give me ideas! What's your dinner plan?

I'm making chicken alfredo with a side of Caesar salad.

  • Random little pre-mades from Whole Foods. Pumpkin risotto, butternut squash purée, and spinach and sausage cornbread stuffing. Probably will also have an arugula/tomato salad.

All I really want is a quart of stuffing.

  • I'm at chillis now, haven't even decided what I want for lunch! Planning on going to the store and hoping something looks good.
  • Sadly freeze pops and soup. Majority of the household including me has some cold or strep. I can't tell but it stinks!
  • Homemade chili and biscuits! :) can't wait!

My husband's xray crew brought him tamales from the valley (near Mexico, in Texas), in an effort to butter him up. These tamales are the best I've ever had. We're having them for lunch and dinner. The spicy chicken and cheese are amazing!

Yum! My neighbor brought me homemade tamales again last night. I was in heaven!

  • 5 hr stew and Rhodes rolls.  Seeing as how its almost 1:30 here, I better get started.
  • Roast chicken, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and veg.
  • I'm going to try one of those "bubble up bakes" that are all over Pinterest. The enchilada one. Anyone made these yet? They look good, hopefully it is yummy!
  • Homemade sweet potato-white bean veggie burgers topped with avocado and red onion on english muffins. Also a chopped up orange bell pepper on the side.
  • I work til 630 so I have a cheese sandwich from home and some takeout sushi. I am proud of myself though, yesterday during DS' nap I made crockpot General Tso's chicken, two meatloaves to freeze for dinner later this week or next, a breakfast casserole for this week, and tonight I'm making calzones and lasagna to freeze. I don't know what got into me!

I've got some going in the crock pot as we speak. What all do you put in yours besides the ham and the beans?
it's from my grandma! She made it for us Friday night (we went over there for dinner) and I have yet to ask the recipe lol! It's actually one meal I've never tried to make.

  • I made tangy bbq chicken, Mac and cheese and green beans. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese wasn't homemade like I wanted to do. I got super lazy tonight.
  • Contemplating stuffed shells and meatballs. I need to get off my ass and go to the store though... but i really don't want to clear off my car... /le sigh
  • Here is my finished product.

I was just thinking about making stuffed shells. I've never made then before. Sounds really good!

Both are very easy to make... but I'm feeling really nauseous now and am having second guesses about food and leaving the house in general...
  • We had homemade spaghetti and meatballs with tomato and cucumber salad. First real meal I've ate all weekend.
