When I went for my last checkup, the midwife told me that I have a prominent pubic bone and would probably need to push on my back until baby's head gets into the right position before moving into other positions. A cursory visit to the dreaded Google led me to lots of forums where women were freaking out because their doctors told them they couldn't deliver a baby vaginally due to their prominent pubic bones. I was hoping for a little more information on the condition itself as well as pushing positions, but I couldn't find anything. I definitely trust my midwife, but I'm on the hunt for more info so that I go into L&D a little more prepared in case I don't make it to my NST this week.
Has anyone else been told they have a prominent pubic bone? If so, how did it affect your labor?
TIA, ladies!

Now looking at that, imagine the front/top of your lower pelvis to be prominent/stick out a bit more. It changes the angle of labor slightly, which is why (imo) your MW says you'll need to push on your back, give that baby a push in the forward direction to properly engage baby's head in your pelvic canal.
I have no idea if that's correct, but as an xray tech it makes sense to me.
