I could, but I am trying to find a way to get it on a more vertical surface b/c it's supposed to be good for eye-hand coordination or crossing or something. I can't really remember what the deal is, but the preschool teacher I used to work with was big on easels for development of something.
Never fear, though; I've decided to improvise with a tabletop easel made from cardboard boxes just to see if N likes it for now. We'll move to something more permanent if he doesn't completely ignore it like he did with the paint-in-the-ziploc-taped-to-window activity.
This is another reason why everyone needs to get into woodworking.
In high school, we moved to a new (bigger) school. My brother was about 12 at the time, and was so excited when he found out they had shop class that he told his buddies, "I love to work the wood!" or something like that. They called the poor kid Woodrow until the day he graduated.
I'd skip the clip board and look for wrapping paper mounts. Just make sure it's sturdy, large rolls of paper are heavy.
Or if you need the angle, just build it to hold one large sheet of paper at a time and not the whole roll. I'd be afraid of the weight of the roll personally. And my kid would start running around the house letting it unroll.
