That feeds on demand... Even overnight? Little one is almost 6 months old. I see all these posts of lo sttn...just wondered if there are other mommas out there still feeding at night??
I night-weaned around 10 months. My ped recommended that I do it since his weight was fine, and I knew that I needed to for my own sanity. Otherwise, I always tried to just nurse on demand.
I still feed on demand and my LO is 18 months! I've gone through periods where she's slept 10-12 hours without nursing, and other periods where she was up every 2-3 hours for sickness, teething, etc. I will always nurse on demand. I usually get up on a typical night once per night and to me it's no big deal. I enjoy our special time together since I know she won't want to BF forever.
I'm still nursing on demand while we are together, and that includes many motn at 17.5 months and will continue to for awhile. After about 13 months, I've started asking DH to go and settle her sometimes, but that's not very often, she prefers me and it takes him a really long time to settle her down. From 3-12 months, I actually kind of encouraged reverse cycling, especially around 8-9 months when I really had to start fighting for my pumped ounces, I knew that she'd make up any deficit by nursing overnight, and so I never night weaned her. I am exhausted at times, working full time on very little sleep some days/weeks at a time, but it's really such a short time in my life and her life, so I am ok with it.
My 14.5 mo old still nurses on demand, even at night. She is so far from STTN (although I'd like to find a solution to that, soon). Like PP, I had no problem with her reverse cycling when I went back to work because a) she needed the ounces, and b) bed sharing is our only time together on my work days.
13.5 mo and still nurse on demand here too. I have tried sleep training to help her develop self soothing and putting herself to sleep but if she wakes and can't get back to sleep I'll nurse.

My 20 month old is nursed on demand 24/7 sometimes in certain public situations I make her wait until I feel it appropriate since she understands but that only started around 14-15mo. She baisically nurses all night long as we are still bedsharing. She sleeps for super long stretches but hasn't STTN since she was a newborn.
My LO is 6mo and we still do MOTN feeds on demand. We had a couple blissful weeks where he only ate once a night, but it's been 3x a night for the past two months.
Ds2 is 9 months and I feed on demand, and he does not sttn. Ds1 I nursed on demand including at night until he was about 20 months and I was pregnant, when I nightweaned, stopped nursing to sleep, placed limits.
I have to, because we are reverse cycling. She does not drink anything from 6 AM to 3 PM, so that's her virtual "STTN" (with eyes wide open)

@Bliz1712 ^wss! LO is almost 8 months and still feeding on demand. At night it's at least 3x sometimes more. We were kind of hoping he'd grow out of it... #teamNoSleep
My LO just turned a year old last month and we still nurse on demand. It's not as much, but it's the only way I can get him down. Naps or sleep. He still wakes up 2-3 times per night to nurse. I'm ready to wean, but he is not and I can't just cut him off like his pedi said to do. Idk if it's more for me or for him at this point...
