I have a 5 month old DS and 21 month old DD. I had to stop nursing when I got pregnant because my supply completely dried up, DD was about 8 months at the time.
Just this past week she has been very interested in nursing when I am nursing DS, specifically at bedtime. She will come sit with us in the chair and put her head by my breast and say "eat". I am really not opposed to nursing her at all, but I wonder about my supply, and I am really worried about getting bit or her thinking its a game.
Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions or even haut success stories?

Re: Starting to nurse 21 month old - again?

I was 4 1 / 2 years old when my sister arrived, long weaned- and my mom says I asked to nurse, too. I guess she let me, I'm sure I didnt want to do it too much... I dont remember it. I hear a lot of toddlers asking when little sib comes along. So not unusual.Probably not affect your supply in the short term. GL :-)
Most of the time that she seems interested is on the nights that DH isn't home to do her bedtime routine and I'm juggling both kids bedtimes. I guess maybe on those nights I will let her stay up a little later to have extra snuggles with mom. Thanks for the suggestions ladies!
