11 weeks and crinone isn't being covered at the moment

So usually my crinone is overed. Still $139 but covered. So last night I went to pick up my medicine and the total was $274. Wtf. My insurance company said the prior authorization I had from my dr expired so it wasn't being covered. Well I call my dr office and they said since the RE wrote to rx he'd have to call to give the authorization. Well the lady in charge of that at the RE office is on vacation. So I'm here at 11 weeks with no crinone. My OB said I could stop at 10 weeks but when I had a u/s at 10w5d the placenta still wasn't fully developed. Should I just take some of the extra progesterone suppositories I was on from the time of ovulation? They aren't expired or anything and I know a lot of women are on them for progesterone help. Not sure what my progesterone level is but at 5 weeks or 6 weeks it was 19.....that probably didn't help.

What would you guys do?!??
Me: 26 (IC/PCOS-2000mg of Metformin daily)

June 2014- HSG=clear

DH: 27 (SA results were great minus the slightly low morphology)
Started dating DH in 2002 at 14 years old
Married on 03.01.2014
Officially TTC since April 2014 
January 2013- Surprise BFP, m/c at 6 weeks, D&C 2 Weeks later
April 2014- First RE appointment
July 2014- IUI#1-Canx due to scar tissue and polyps. TI with the help of Ovidrel. BFN

August 2014- Hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue and polyp

September 2014- IUI #1.1-100mg Clomid, Ovideral, 11.5 million swimmers=BFP

EDD-6/3/15- Our sweet baby Ryan was born on 1/6/15 and is in the arms of an Angel

Dx with IC on 1/6/15

    Call your RE and ask if it's ok to use the supps instead. I would think at this point, it would be fine, but double check ;)

    I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Can you ask your RE's office if they have any extra they can give you to hold you over?

    DX: Me-DOR + No Tubes, DH-Fine

    Ectopic 2007; lost tube/2nd tube removed Dec 2011 (hydro)

    April 2012=IVF#1- EPP Antag+ICSI, 2R,0F (BFN), Now dx’d with DOR.

    June-July 2012=IVF#2- MDL+ICSI&AH, 8R,4M,3F (BFP 9dp3dt) Beta#1 at 11dp3dt=36, Beta#2 at 15dp3dt=156, Beta#3 at 19dp3dt=671, dx'd with SCH, no growth-m/c at 7wks/Lap Dec 2012 to remove small fibroid.

    Feb 2013=IVF#3-MDL, 2/1=baseline, started 10 units mdl, AFC-7, 2/3 start gonal f, self cxld cycle b/c of low e2.

    April 2013=IVF#3.5-(with new RE)AG/ANT Conv + ICSI. 4/10-4/23 bcp's, 4/20-4/27 lupron, 4/28-ganirelix until end of stimming, 5/2-600 gonal f, 5/4-add 1/2 vial menopur, 5/13-ER (9R,1M,1F), 5/17-ET, 1 beautiful 8 cell (please be my sticky baby!!!!) 5/28-BFFN.

    Oct 2013=IVF#4-LLP+ICSI &AH, 10/14 (6R, 2M, 2F), 10/17-ET, 1 seven cell & a six cell, BFP at 9dp3dt, 1st beta=56, 2nd beta=52, CP.

    Jan 2014=IVF #5-LLP, Cxld after 6 days of stims due to fast response and lead follicle. 

    March 2014=IVF 5.5-LLP, Lupron 3/10, BL 3/18, 11 days of stims, Trigger 3/29, ER 3/31. 7R, 2M, 2F. ET 4/3. Txfd one 5 cell & one 9 cell. BFP on hpt from 7dp3dt & on. Praise be to God. Beta #1 at 11dp3dt=106, #2 at 13dp3dt=239. First u/s 4/28, measuring on track & heartbeat seen. 5/5-2nd u/s, measuring on track with strong heartbeat. 5/12- 3rd u/s & released from RE. Grow baby grow, we love you! Baby G&T is a BOY! Born 12/2014 via c/s! 8lbs, 8oz & 21 inches.

    Agree about calling the RE. You shouldn't go cold turkey, but it sounds like some of this is their office's problem, since one of their staff is out on leave.

    Hope you can find a solution!

    I called the RE but they've already graduated me to my OB. Been seeing him for a few weeks now :-/

    Do you know about the coupon from Crinone?! I was paying completely OOP for weeks bc my insurance has an exclusion for it. A-holes. Anyway, I called the company that makes Crinone and they emailed me a coupon so it only cost me $50 a week. Huge savings for me. Maybe it could help you? I think this is the number. 1-888-776-4358

    Ok so this is what ended up happening my RE called in another rx for me because my OB office is closed on Fridays and the answering service wouldn't fwd the message since it wasn't an emergency. And the medicine was still $187 for 10 applicators. Usually $139 for 15. My RE has to send in another pre authorization form. So annoying. So I'll have to go back and get some money back. @starlightgator‌ yes I have used it but it only allowed me to use it once :-/
