  • @Maebb-- have a wonderful trip!

@VioletGjoni- depends on the type of pain for me, personally, but heating pads usually work great when I have a sore back. A warm bath/shower can, too.

  • Thank you, @MusicFanatic‌! I haven't taken time off work since July, so I'm pretty excited about this. I hope DS is good on the plane!
  • @CrazyMonkeyBear, I'm so counting down too! I will have a good day, thank you. My mom is coming up so I'm excited!

I hope you have a wonderful time at your shower!
And glad to hear FI has a manageable condition they can hopefully control with the meds. I'm sure it sucks for him that he has to, though. So much he's been through this past month :(

  • Wigglet likes to play games already :)
And yes, totally reasonable. Wake his butt. (of course, he hasn't felt well either... sleep is probably good for him).   My H is at the hospital since it's the weekend and we both woke at 5:45. He's an early bird w/ me.

  • Good morning everyone. I'm up. Im staying at my mom's this weekend because DH is at his boys weekend in Boston. I woke up at 6:30 and texted him that if he wants to go get me a fun Boston University (my alma mater) item of clothing, I wouldn't be upset. :) I suggested a baseball hat that I can wear when I start running again after baby comes.

Today mom and I are going to buy DH his bday gifts (bday is next Sat). And I'm having lunch with my best friend. Should be a fun day!
  • @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ too funny! My Little Man kicks back and tries to get the thing off him when we have an ultrasound. The first time, they couldn't look at his spine because he wiggled too much. He even kicked back at my OB when she was trying to hear the heartbeat last week.

Writing a paper today, hoping my mom can come visit soon, and missing DH. He's been working a lot lately. I think we get an actual date night tonight, though, which I'm super excited about.

Time to get moving. Panera is calling my name.
  • VioletGjoni  RICE SOCKS. If you dont already have one, make one, get one. Waaaaaaaay better than a heating pad. They gave me one for my back when I was in labor with my first daughter and I swear it was more pain relief than the epidural. I love it and made a better scented one for home. It's awesome. You microwave it for like 30 seconds and dont have to worry about it being too hot like a heating pad

  • I've never joined the random thread but my husband is downstairs with our 3 year old so I'm hiding in a warm bed having "me time."

I get to leave in an hour to pick up my packet for the Hot Chocolate Race tomorrow. When I signed up in October with co-workers it sounded like a fun idea. Now that Ohio's mornings aren't above 30 degrees, I'm slightly regretting the decision. But, I do get a cute fleece out of the event!

Oh, and I got no sleep last night because I'm reconsidering our babies names (team green) and this is stressing me out!

  • Good morning! I have been up since 7:45. Today is our co-ed family shower. I can't get out from under the warm covers. I love feeling LO move so much! My cats are here with us in bed trying to keep warm.
  • Morning ladies! Hubs is working til midnight tonight and worked overnight last night so it's just me and Mackenzie today- she decided at 2 am it was morning so we watched a hallmark movie til 4 and then she was up again at 7 ....maybe she's trying to prep me for baby! I spent the morning sorting through all jacks clothes and cleaning up nursery and now I'm ready to crash! This kid better nap with me and then I think we'll go shopping for Christmas decorations since the old ones don't match the new house :D

On a cute note I told Mackenzie my belly hurt and she walked up and said your okay over and over hugged me and rubbed my back! She's such a sweetie
  • It's 9:30 am and my DS is still sleeping.  So weird.  I've checked on him once or twice because this is so unusual.

Also, we had a kitten turn up in our driveway two nights ago.  With it getting down into the teens here overnight, I couldn't leave her outside.  DS and DSS want to keep her so badly but I just don't know.  She's really little.  Based on the research I did, I'm thinking 4-6ish weeks so she's still very much in kitten stage.  She woke me twice last night to eat.  I'm supposed to have 9ish more weeks until we have a newborn to deal with and I should be sleeping. :)) Since we brought her in and fed her and got her warmed up, she's come a long way but she definitely needs to see a vet.  We need to decide if we're going to keep her or turn her over the the humane society.

I know at our local SPCA you can surrender a found cat and then foster it. They will pay to have it fixed and all of the shots, then when it's an adoptable age (8-10 weeks) you can decide if you want to adopt it or put it up for adoption. This will give you more time to decide plus not be as expensive.

  • @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ Meanie!!! Why would you want to wake your FI so early? DH tried to talk to me around 8 this morning and I threw him out of the room! Of course I was up an hour later but 7 months ago, I could have slept for another 4-5 hours without a problem :) Yes we are hoping that the little one has my sleep habits :)

  • DH made my coffee yesterday morning and used the last of the cream but forgot to tell me so I was very sad this morning when I went to make my coffee. However, he was sweet enough to go get me cream. I had 2 cannoli's for breakfast today - oops

  • We have a bunch of errands to do today so I decided to put on real pants (vs leggings or yoga pants) and I'm so uncomfortable! Why don't maternity jeans stay up on my ass?

It's 11 degrees outside right now. I just want my leggings back and to stay home where it's warm!

  • Morning ladies!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. :)
Im going to have a very busy weekend. My husband and I are headed out to a retreat for a few hours before we have to go to the baby shower his side of the family planned and tomorrow is the baby shower my mom planned here at our house.

I had a hard time sleeping. Not sure if it was because the my DH and I had an argument last night (I love the big lug but he can be too hard headed) or because of all that's going on this weekend, but I could do for some coffee right now.
  • Dd came into our bed around 6:30, and then slept till 7:45. Dh turned on Mickey for her and then went to class. She played in her room until 8:45, we had breakfast and now am lounging around. I started the dishes. We need to clean the bathrooms today. Plus clean Dd's room, our DVD shelves and our hutch, since those 2 have become catch alls.

  • @MusicFanatic‌ thought about this when my little girl was coloring while older sister was at ballet class this morning... Are you going to save all the pages you've been coloring? I thought it'd be a cool keepsake for your daughter if you had them laminated or scanned and printed into a book. Could even write little notes on them to your daughter :) Etf words
@wahooMOM13- :x I absolutely love this idea, never would have thought to do it. I do have all the pages I've colored, I took nothing out of the coloring books so they're still in there. I even have the date in each corner :) I think I'll do something with them!

I also love that your daughter takes ballet!  I miss teaching my kiddos.

Glad you like the idea!!! She's in the 3-5 yr old class and she has so much fun. Next week is parent week so I can finally watch a class :).
That's such a fun age! I taught 5-6 year olds :) You'll love watching her!

@EmilyA724 - suuuuure did! We prepaid both sets (the other not until May or something, right?).. I got all excited when I turned on my wii the other day and it said there was new software to update :) Knew I was getting the boards. I kind of suck at a few of them, though (like that insane twisty one I can't remember the name of right now).  I like the rainbow road one! And now I've switched my character to one of the new ones we got and I'm playing Link!

Yeah, the other ones come out in May. DH has been playing this week but I've been waiting until the weekend to try them. There are some really fun ones. I tried playing with Cat Peach, but Yoshi is just my favorite. I mixed it up though and played as White Yoshi.

  • Im going to eat and take a nap. For those on iron supplements, how long did it take for you to feel a change? I'm so tired

I've been on em for three weeks now. I didnt notice a difference until just a few days ago, and it hasn't been super drastic. I'm still sleepy, but I'm not taking mandatory daily naps anymore! Lol
