I'm annoyed that we have to watch a breast feeding video which equals breasts and nipples blown up on the screen They will not release us until we watch this video.

I stopped giving a fuck about work problems. I have mentally checked out and I can't seem to make myself care about whats going on here. Of course, this is making my job harder because I am just trying to let everything go so that someone else can handle it when I am on maternity leave. It keeps biting me in the ass though......cause every day I get up and come back to work.

I am also jealous of all the outside babies. I want to have my baby now but fear I still have a LONG time to wait.

I have also been thinking I need to take a bump break because I feel like it is getting harder and harder to look at the board with all of he topics that I can't participate in. I am worried it is making the waiting harder.

I officially decided I'm not going into work anymore and I'm going to "work from home" until LO gets here.. The problem with this plan is I have no work to do and all I'm doing is watching PLL and bumping.

I'm homeschooling my 5-year-old and need to be collecting samples for our facilitator for a meeting in four days. I've done approximately jack shit since our last meeting, and am now hoping that I go into labor in time to reschedule so I have more time. Totally slacking.

ugh.

Trying to work up the motivation to do... something.

Due date tomorrow. C'mon baby.

I'm about to give up on BFing. I always said I would if it got too hard, and it's HARD! Cameron will not take the booby after having taken a bottle for the past 2 weeks. Everyone seems eager to jump on the guilt trip train on me though. I'm so annoyed

@sparklingwhit I am so sorry it is hard. I have heard that a lot of people will make you feel guilty but they don't always know what is best for you.. But you do!! Do what you think feels right for you and your baby. I hope it gets better for you soon.

I have actually had people tell me that I HAVE to BF because Cameron had such a hard start in life and it wouldn't be fair of me to not BF. The pumping every 3 hours is making me crazy and my supply sucks and trying to BF is nearly impossible. I've tried lactation consultants and I've asked nurses and nothing is working. I just feel like a bad mommy for not being able to do this for him, but it's not working and I feel like it will be more beneficial for him to have a happy mommy than have breast milk.

Do not let them do that to you! You are a good mama! You have tried your hardest no matter what you ultimately decide to do. I was in your shoes and I let judgmental people push me around for 4 months. My daughter had a feeding tube. I was pumping constantly, taking supplements and not sleeping. I also had a ton of people guilt me and tell me pumping/breast feeding was the only thing I could do to help my baby. That is not true! You love him and you do feed him what you can and you are good to you and that is being good to your baby! When we finally got out of the NICU our pediatrician was so impressed I had held on to bf as long as I did. It really was not worth all the grief. Sorry! Very passionate about this! So glad everyone here is accepting of all ways to feed your baby! I wish I would have had the support of this board with my daughter.

Sorry about the BF issues. Do what is best for you and your baby. My dr said babies will prefer to eat what ever way is easiest to get milk, so your baby may find it easier to get the milk out of a bottle instead of your breast.

I almost gave up with my first, we are having latch issues, soreness, pain (and I don't mean the normal discomfort that can come the first week or two), and then a clogged duct. I pushed through and ended up BF until he was almost 18 months and loved it. My second self weaned at 1 year.

You have gotten so much great advice @sparklingwhit but I wanted to send you hugs. Parenting is tough enough, you shouldn't be putting all this pressure on yourself to bf when there are other options. I'm a bf advocate, but I have also had it easy for the most part with both sons. You tried and sometimes it's not worth continuing if you're miserable. I agree that happy mom comes first and baby may be happier too with formula.

@sparklingwhit You totally need to do what is right for you, for baby, and for your family - and it's absolutely true that having a happy, stress-free mama (as much as mothers ever are stress-free) is more important. *major hugs* You're doing just fine, mama. Connor is lucky to have you.

I did too. The nurses convinced me to because it was a long labor. DS was also gaggy so it was good for the nurses to keep an eye on him too.

C'mon, mamas. I need to live vicariously through you. Surely that is more important than, y'know, bonding with your new baby and learning how to mom, right?

My confession is I don't want my MIL in the room while I'm in labor. My doctor said if I felt overwhelmed by it to come up with a code word and he'd be more than happy to have her booted. But I want my mom there to help me through it with DH. MIL has been begging me for weeks to let her in the room while I give birth. This is her sixth grandchild, but first from DH... God I'm terrible. She's not a bad person she's just very loud. X_X

That is totally reasonable and you are NOT terrible. I adore my mil and would never have her in the room with me while pushing. If she's going to bother/distract you in any way do not feel bad about not having her present.

My FFC is that I went to look into WIC today because we need it and apparently we make $350 too much annually. I feel awful to be that broke and am stressed that bf won't work out (which is silly to worry about now) and that formula will be too expensive and... Ugh. I need to get out of my own head.
