Breastfeeding

Breastmilk jewelry

Hi guys, I hope you are all well! I just wanted to drop back in and post this because I wish I had known about it while I was still breastfeeding.

Some of you may remember what a difficult time I had trying to nurse then struggling with exclusive pumping. After my supply tanked and I finally called it quits I found out you could have jewelry made with your milk. I was so sad because it was too late for me since I had already completely weaned. But then I decided to try just to see if I could still get anything at all. I was only able to get a few drops from hand expressing for over a week.

Much to my amazement the jewelry maker was willing to find a way to make it work and she had me send in my LITERALLY few drops of milk. She worked with me to find the best option for such a minuscule amount and she is making me a tiny drop pendant.

I'm so happy that I will have this to honor my struggles and triumphs. If anyone else is interested in a momento made from their milk I recommend looking into it while you still have a good supply so you can get what you really want. I highly recommend hollyday designs...she has been so very considerate and accommodating.

I hope someone can benefit from this knowledge sooner than I did! Happy breastfeeding mamas!
