Fun ways to reveal?

I haven't even told DH yet! I'm waiting to see if my super faint pos from this morning gets darker tomorrow. Also, tomorrow is his birthday!

Last time was kinda lame. We'd been trying for over a year, I came out of the bathroom screaming and crying like a mad woman at 6am. He was sleeping. He rolled over and said, "Oh wow. I'm so happy." And then went back to sleep. So, I kinda want to do something bigger this time

I wrote "you're going to be a daddy again" and put it inside an envelope. I then had DD scribble all over it. When DH got home from work, she ran up and gave it to him, and he thought it was just something she made at school. When he read the inside, he was obviously really excited. You can keep it simple, and it's still really sweet.

I'm a nut. I make a big deal out of stuff. The reveal for our parents was so damn cute last time. The video still makes us bawl.I'm going to think of something good for DH this time, dangit!

I couldn't hold it in from DH... Came right out of the bathroom "I think there's a slight chance I might be pregnant. Do you see a line there?" He said yes. Ta-da!
But he didn't believe it right away at first since it was so light. I went a bought a digi and showed it to him. Then he cried.
Sometimes with the guys, simple is best.
Parents on the other hand, get a creative, well thought out reveal.

I glued a pacifier on to a little mini pumpkin and told him I made him something. He knows I'm uber crafty so he wasn't expecting that, he actually said he was expecting a pee stick, but when he opened his eyes to see the little pumpkin he was all smiles. It now sits on the shelf in our room.

With #2 I bought a book called 'Big Sisters Are the Best" and told DH that DD got a new book and she toddled over to show him. We don't want to tell the kids this time, since DD will actually get it, so I bought a Big Sister book and "Big Brothers Are the Best", waited till kids went to bed and handed DH the bag saying, "Check out the books I got for the kids!" I figure it's multi purpose because we will probably wrap those books up and give them to the kids when we are ready to tell them.

The first time around I texted my husband because he was at work and I couldn't wait to tell him. This time, again, he was at work (he clearly works too much) but I wanted to do something else. I thought about getting creative but in the end, I had our 2 year old hand him the positive test when he finally got home. My son was so excited to be giving something to daddy and my husband was so shocked and happy about the result.

I had a really good idea that I wanted to do when one of my family members got pregnant but was in too much shock when I found out I was...get a 6 pack of beer and put some cheap-O baby bottles in it OR put some rubber nipples on the beer bottles and give it to hubs haha.

This minus the digital and crying. DH gets a "do you see a line here" parents get the cute stuff. This year we are planning on doing the *everyone get together for a family photo and start video recording and on 3 say "we're pregnant" and get everyone's responses on tap* though that might change by Christmas.

This! I found out the day before our huge family pictures but decided not to do it because my SIL came up with that idea to do for her and I didn't want to spoil it for her one day.

DH was super crabby from shitty day at work so I was planning to wait to tell him. He got home that day and I was on the phone and he handed me a folded piece of paper. I casually started reading it thinking it was mail - it was a statement from his boss.

"Congratulations. You've been promoted to blablabla. You've exceeded expectations and the following will go into effect immediately 10% raise and 3 additional vacation days."

I dropped the phone, hugged him and said something like "Yay, I've got more good news for today! We're pregnant!" It was an awesome day but not very creative lol

I had this cute announcement halfway prepared, thinking I would have a few cycles to finish it.

I had just stained a pretty little palm-sized treasure chest. The idea was, he'd find a key with a tag. The tag would lead him to the chest. The key would open the chest, and inside, he'd find a note "from baby."

It would have a tiny poppy seed glued to it, and some saccharine words along the lines of, "I'm only this big, but I can't wait to meet you, daddy."

...then I got KTFU way faster than I thought, got over-excited, ran into the bedroom, and woke him up saying, "You're gonna be a dad!!!"

I might still do tooth-rottingly cute care packages for the rest of the family though.

I was a few days late when I took a digital test, and I couldn't handle staring at the stupid stick while it figured its stuff out. So I just calmly handed it to DH and went to make myself a snack. So really, he got to tell me I was knocked up, which he did by dropping the stick into the garbage and saying "Sorry!" then walking away. A few minutes later he came back in and said, "Sorry, you're only two weeks pregnant. 38 to go. I had to go look up how many weeks it takes." Lawl.

As for my parents, I told my mom right away because I had to tell somebody. My dad is getting a Grandpa est. 2015 t-shirt in the mail sometime this week, and I'm going to have him open it on Skype so I can watch. It sucks living so far away (and having much older parents, tbh).

I got my brother a "world's best uncle" t-shirt and my sisters-in-law get "Auntie" necklaces. The parents-in-law will find out when they visit for turkey day in a few weeks. Whee!

Well I wanted to get my husband's favorite children's book and do something cute with it but he actually told me I was pregnant. I had taken the test and sat it on the windowsill to wait, went to grab something and he came in and saw it.

For everyone else, we're planning on waiting until Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and giving them all gifts. For my grandma, we're getting her a "The best grandmas get promoted to great-grandmas" shirt, my brother "The best brothers get promoted to uncles" and we haven't decided on everyone else yet. We have a lot of ideas for my parents but I'm liking the idea of getting a Grandchild frame and putting a "Coming in July 2015" paper in the middle. His parents are grandparents already but we'll still do something for them like that.

This time we were TTC and I was looking at shirts to announce to the family. Showed him one I liked and asked him "what about this one? Although we have to change the expected day to July" and then showed him my positive HPT.

My DD and I ended up surprising DH on Saturday morning, his birthday. It turned out really well! He opened a large package and inside was a tiny sign reading "World's Best Dad". Just when he was like, "Wow, this is greeeeat (WTF?!)" I said, "Huh, does it say anything else?" He flipped it over and read where the back said "... of 2!!" Meanwhile, I slipped off my son's hoody that said "Big Brother". Being a typical man, there was still a bloated pause, pause, pause.... "Oh wow! You're pregnant again?!" LOL. Yes, darling. That is what all that means.

My husband is a huge Packers fan so I went to Lids and got a Packers hat embroidered to say you're going to be a dad. It took him a second to see the writing but once he did he was so excited. He keeps bugging me to let him wear it but we haven't told our family yet

I gave my husband a basket with energy drinks, a snack, wooden clothes pins, marbles (for the ones he will lose lol), plastic gloves, binkies (even though we don't use them), and a baby on board sign. Also a little poem that said "I once was one, and then I met you. My 'I' became 'we', and we became two. 9 months of waiting, our 'we' became three. Such a great family are you, him, and me. Now he's getting tall and we want one more... So guess what! Our three is soon to be four!" Had I thought about it, I would've put sparklers in there, and said "Our little sparkler is due July." But now that's what we are doing for our pregnancy announcement. We are taking family photos with sparklers and saying that instead. Hope that gives you some ideas!

I put a bun in the oven then asked DH to come upstairs to check on the stove for me. He opened it up grabbed the bun then turned around to me who was holding a + test. It took him a few seconds to make the connection.

These are so cute! DH knew I was taking a test and I honestly had to have him confirm that there was a line! Wishful thinking had affected my vision in the past so I needed reassurance. We did decide to tell my parents because it would have been impossible to keep this a secret. I have a big chalkboard wall that I update seasonally so I changed it to read "36 weeks until Baby!" and then tricked them into coming over. DH filmed it and it's hilarious because my mom looks at the wall and just keeps talking about the movie they just came home from. It definitely took a few minutes for them to actually see it.

DH and I found out together, since we agreed I wouldn't test without him. I'm traveling back home to my parents' place for a friend's wedding this weekend and just decided how to tell them they're becoming grandparents. They're out of town until the end of my visit, so I'm surprising them when they arrive home.

In their entryway, they have a row where guests put their shoes, and you see it right when you walk in the door. I plan to put my riding boots first, then a pair of baby shoes right next to them. They're neat freaks and the baby shoes are bright, so they should spot them right away. And if it works out, I'll be filming on my phone. I can't wait

His parents will wait til we see them in person at Christmas, and we'll tell extended family then too.

I wanted to tell DH we were pregnant with #2 by putting our son into a big brother shirt. When I tested my DH was just putting my son down for a nap so I walked in with the shirt and was like, "I bought this for DS, isn't it so cute?" because I just could not wait.

We were TTC #2 and he knew I went in to pee on a stick. His words were "i don't know why you bother, it's negative. We hhaven't tried long enough." He was getting DS ready for bed and I handed him the stick and he said "What does that mean? Oh wow, really?!"

With DS I told H I thought I was pregnant, went and POAS, and said I was right. My parents were here visiting so after our couple minutes of shock and excitement I went and just handed the stick to my mom. This time I tested Saturday and it was negative. On Tuesday I said I had no sign of my period and was going to test again. I came out with a shocked look and said oh, shit. So yeah, no clever stuff here. We did get DS a big brother shirt and skyped with my parents tonight while he was wearing it. They noticed almost immediately and got super excited.
