On Friday, I went in for my weely appt and was told the baby had dropped and that I was 1 cm dilated and 80 percent effaced. Told to come back the next week.
On Saturday, I woke up with some wetness which I wasn't quite sure was a water leak or urine. I saw a little pink in my urine so I called. I was told " that is normal" so I went on to spend the day with my family, even though I kept wondering "hmm..is this a leak?" I kept convincing myself I was wrong all day despite many many trips to the bathroom and leaks. Finally, after my family left visiting, I called and the OB was like 'why did you wait ALL day? Go to the hosptal now". I went and sure enough, my water had been leaking all day (note to others, it's not always a GUSH) so I was admitted. They then worried I had waited so long and that they would need to give me pitocin to speed up labor since I was having no contractions. Before they could give me pitocin, contractions started. Before I knew it, they were coming on fast and furious. I was initially 1 cm dilated, but then 5cm. At that point, contractions were bad, so the nurse said "are you sure you don't want an epidural"-------I was like "WHAT? Who said I didn't want that. YES, I want that now" LOL......I have no idea why they thought I didn't want it, as I had said "yes" when I first came in. I never asked because I thought it was too early. (note to others: ASK when you want it..don't be shy--LOL). Anyhow, they had a horrible time getting in the epidural for some reason. That was the scariest part because it was taking SOOO long and the contractions were so bad with an increase in desire to push, yet the doc kept saying "dont move". Sure, easy for YOU to say LOL. Anyhow, he finally got in the epidural and they nurse checked me again and I was fully dilated and ready to push. The doctor came in and told me the baby was very low and it would only take a few pushes to get him out (he was wrong,----2 hours of pushing). Anyhow, doctor came in when it was going to be the last push and the baby went back in slightly, so it was a cople more pushes and out came my beautiful baby boy!!! with a TON of hair..

p.s. Doctor cut umbilical cord before asking my husband...make sure hospital KNOWS you want that. I felt bad as it was an opportunity taken away from my husband without a second thought by the doctor.

I had a similar experience with my DS. My water broke around 5 pm on a Sunday, except there was no GUSH! It felt like I peed a little especially with the baby sitting lower. Contractions started in the middle of the night and I waited for it to be time to call and go. The tested the fluid as soon as I got there, which of course started coming out a lot more at that point. They asked why I waited. It wasn't Niagara Falls like everybody says. Lol. They started me on pitocin shortly after. Now I know for this time, I guess.

1st scan 5/13 - development behind, no heartbeat detected; D&C 6/2; WTF 6/13
IVF cycle 2 - BCP begun 7/12; stims w/ HGH begun 7/26;
ER: 8/6, 12 follicles, 7 fertilized w/ ICSI; ET: 8/11, 3 blastocysts left, 2 transferred, 3rd arrested 8/12 - none to freeze

June 2013 - Diagnosis of Endometriosis and PCOS (approximate).
December 2013 - First cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
January 2014 - 2nd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
February 2014 - 3rd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
March 2014 - Took month off to prep for surgery
April 2014 - Laporoscopy for endo. Unable to remove endo due to too close of proximity to ureter. HSG done as well. Fillopian tubes open.
May 2014 - 1st round of Femara. Positive OPK. BFN.
June 2014 - 2nd round of Femara. Moved to RE to have CD10 Follicular U/S. No Follies in left ovary. 5 follies in right. Largest follie 8mm, 1 7mm, 2 3mm, 1 2mm. Positive OPK on day of U/S. BFN. DH has SA done at this time - All results within normal limits.
July 2014 - 3rd round of Femara. CD10 Follicular U/S. No follies in left ovary. 7 follies in right. 1 20mm, 1 12mm, 1 10mm, 4 <5mm. Scheduled for IUI. Canceled due to low estrogen level of 145. TI this month. Prepping for Injectables next month. BFN.
August 2014 - CD3 BW Normal. Injectables not happening because of stupid miscommunication about "required injectables class." Taking class this month. No medication. TI for the month. SIS scheduled for 8/7/14. SIS results - "I have a beautiful uterus." Huzzah!
September 2014 - Cycle cancelled due to stupid AF coming early and making my IUI run in to DH's business trip. Try again next month.
October 2014 - Injects with IUI cycle. 75U 5 days. Estrogen at 36. Bumped up to 125 for 4 days. Estrogen 105. Bumped up to 225. Ganirelix for 2 days. 4 mature follies. Triggered 10/9. IUI 10/10.
BFP 10/24/2014. Beta #1 - 178 Beta #2 - 398. U/S 11/7/14- TWINS!!!!
