breastfeeding and diaper app

I know there was a prior thread where people recommended one but I'm not seeing it. With my 6 day old infant and my own recovery I'm just doing the things I need to to take care of us and am exhausted. If someone wouldn't mind pointing me to that thread or if people want to
just post their favorite android apps for this, it would be much appreciated. Looking for ones people have used before and liked.

Re: breastfeeding and diaper app

  • I was thinking about asking this the other day, but sleep deprivation made me forget. Thanks for posting it!

  • I've never used one. What's the reasoning behind them? To get an idea of LO's schedule? Not being snarky, just curious as to if this is something I should look into this time.

I wanted to use one to keep track of LO's dirty diapers, since we're having issues. Other than that, I'm just a sucker for tracking things. It's fun for me, but I'm weird like that.

  • I agree with baby connect. We're using the baby connect app and I'm really happy with it. DH and I are linked so no matter who does a feeding or diaper change we are both updated. It also has a website so a sitter or nanny can be linked. Our moms are going to get it so that way they can keep it updated on the days they have her. I like it all in one place too.
  • I use Feed Baby. I really like it and it has already been a lifesaver as my brain is not totally working due to sleep deprivation so without it I'd be forgetting a lot of feeding times, number of diapers, etc.

The only downside is I thought it was free, but after 4 days basically I had to update to Pro, which was not free, to continue using all the features. I did because I thought it was worth it. But would be good to know going in!

  • Hmmm that is cool! I don't think I even had a smart phone with my son, and wrote stuff on paper lol. Thanks!

We have been using and loving Feed Baby. It's free for the iphone & android and it syncs the data! It's really given us a lot of peace of mind!

I started using it last night! Like it so far. So much easier for me than having to keep track on paper.

  • I use baby connect. Let's me track nursing, bottles, diapers, medical (weight, height) and tons of other things that I haven't used yet. Very easy to use and provides great summary of average interval between feeding, quantity, etc.

DD was a NICU baby and her pediatrician wanted us to keep track of feedings and diapers for the first two-four weeks. After using it that long it just became habit :)

  •  Wow this thread makes me feel like a dinosaur LOL :)  It never occured to me to look for an app, in fact smartphones weren't invented with my other kids haha.

But I can see where it might be helpful!  But I get so frustrated at using the phones and my teens are at school right now so I don't have anyone to download one for me-they handle all that stuff :)
