Or should I say - talk me off a ledge?!?!?

In true "JBDAMONM" fashion - I'm sitting here less than 24 hours from my FET getting nerved up. I swear. I don't know how to not worry. I don't know how I made it through a 9 month pregnancy once already.

So, my latest fear is that my embryos wont make it threw the thaw. I have five. All frozen as blasts. (4 day 5, 1 day 6)...... Anyone have insight on why they may not survive?

OR if I am just being ridiculous? ( I won't be offended).....

@JBDamonM, I have no experience with this as I've never had any make it to freeze..but I wanted to tell you that you aren't being ridiculous. I wonder how I made it through 9 months of pregnancy too...Here I sit with a VERY strong first beta and I am still a complete basket case and probably will be until after my anatomy scan (God willing my lil one sticks). So although my response can't give you any insight on the defrost....just know your feelings are completely normal... as all of us IVFers know! Sending you big hugs!

I was told that the thaw rate is somewhere around 95% by my old clinic so I wouldn't worry about it especially if you have 5 blasts. If they don't survive the thaw that means that the embryos won't be good enough to implant.

Thanks ladies. No one at my clinic thinks ill have an issue (since I have 5)......I'm just being greedy and hoping that there is a couple left in case this one fails

so nerves wracking. @June0609‌ - while I realize your point is valid - it wouldn't make it any less deflating to have done shots for 30 days and not make it to transfer

Just polished off a sushi dinner. Hope it's my last for a while!!

My endless googling paid off. I found an article written by one of the doctors at my clinic.....as of 2012 - thaw rate was 80%... I can deal with that

And don't feel bad about being nervous! I honestly would have preferred a fresh cycle to my FET....it just seemed to go on forever!!!!!

Fx that they all make it and I don't think your being greedy at all of course you want as many as possible and it's completely understandable.

I had one little embryo, so, needless to say, I was very worried about getting the call saying sorry, you're cycle is over. I dealt with that worry by reminding myself that it was out of my hands and worrying wasn't going to change anything.

I think the big thing isn't really the thawing but how the embryos were frozen. My clinic said that after they started using vitrification (the fast freezing) they have almost a 100% rate of embryos making it after being thawed. They also see higher pregnancy rates.

Honestly, if you have five, I don't think you have anything to worry about but yea, I get that you'll still worry! I would too.
