Hey ladies- so we just found out at our 20 week scan that we are having a little girl and could not be happier! I have had a little girl name picked out for YEARS- Juliana. Luckily, my husband really likes the name too. My grandmother passed away 6 months ago and her name was Rosetta, I thought it would be so nice and special to have our daughters middle name Rose. Juliana Rose. Perfect right? The problem is, my husbands grandmother also passed away recently and her name was Peggy Lou- that was her legal name. And he thinks its only fair to have BOTH grandmothers names. So his brilliant idea is to have the middle name be combined and have "Peggy Rose" as the middle name. Juliana Peggy-Rose? I don't think so. The issue is, I appreciate the sentiment and I see what he is getting at and it really is a beautiful thought HOWEVER its a horrible name and I can't do that to my child- they have to live with this name forever. How can I convince him to get off this idea without appearing super insensitive or hurting his feelings?
Re: Help! my husbands wants a TERRIBLE middle name
I'd do it so he can honor his grandma, though I might pick Peggy or Lou to simplify legal name stuff.
Juliana Margaret is pretty if your H would agree to it.
I don't really have other advice, only commiseration because I am 30 weeks, and my stubborn husband wants to call our baby Hawk.
I was thinking Gypsy with the Rose Louise suggestions.
