Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Intro, second miscarriage in 4 months

(Warning living child mentioned)
I just posted about my first mmc on the cytotec discussion, so I won't go into that again. My first pregnancy was perfectly normal ending with a healthy baby boy so I was totally blindsided by my mmc four months ago. But I was still hopeful just hoping it was a fluke. I got pregnant again after my second cycle (getting pregnant has never been the hard part). I convinced my new ob to do a dating us, since this was how I found out abot my first mmc. At 8w 3d had the us, just an empty sac measuring 7w. Set up another us for a week later with little hope. No growth, still empty and getting cloudy. Belighted ovum. Because of my bad history with cytotec scheduled a d&c for the next day (yesterday). Went well, took all day. Feeling crappy, sore, tired, empty and numb. Can't believe it's happening again. They are testing the sac and my ob said she could start some basic blood tests (clotting and hormornes) once my cycle starts. I'm 35 so they are starting the tests after two mc instead of three. And as soon as we get results and the go ahead we are trying again. For me the only way to heal is by having another baby. Though I will always grove for the ones I've lost.
Sorry so long and thanks for letting me get this out. Thought and prayers to all going through this.

  • SO sorry for your lost. I experienced the same yesterday. Empty sac.... Go back for another ultrasound next week. The hardest part is waiting to miscarry.. I'm starting to wonder if I should go ahead with medicine or d&c to speed it up and end this nightmare or wait it out to naturally pass. How did you decide to go ahead with a d&c?
