Gestational Diabetes - when do you start seeing results?

Hey Everyone,
I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and saw my diabetes educator yesterday morning. I got my glucose meter and meal plan, so I've been trying to follow everything religiously (for a whole 24 hours haha). I am wondering... when will I start seeing my glucose levels go down when I test?? I'm assuming it will take my body a few days to adjust and settle in to this new routine, right? It's just so frustrating to see those high numbers every time I test. It's really got me down today.
Thanks for any feedback!

  • You should see right almost right away.. at least after the first few readings (as long as you are following your diet plan)
