We are traveling to see my IL tomorrow. It is a 5 hour trip. I mostly BF, but I have pumped bottles to supplement if she doesn't get enough. Anyone have any suggestions on traveling with already pumped milk? Would I just be better off to make bottles as I go? I am a bit overwhelmed at the idea of all this so any tips would help.
TIA for any advice need to calm my anxiety!
Re: Traveling with pumped supply.
It's not recommended to give bottles in the carseat while the car is moving. It IS recommended to get LO out of her seat every couple of hours (if she's awake, of course), so nursing instead of bottle feeding can be easier.
As far as taking milk, that's up to you, but it may take the pressure off to have some along instead of relying on pumping, if you're definitely going to need it.
My Ameda pump has batteries and I brought that thing everywhere.
