When was your first doctors appt?

My first day of my last period was October 1, and took a pregnancy test on the 25 which showed positive. So I called and made my first doctors appointment, but the first one they had was December 9th.
Does that seem too far away? My husband thinks I need to be seen sooner, but from what I've been reading it seems like 8 weeks is pretty common and I should be between 7-8 weeks at my spot.

That's usually about right... I go tomorrow for blood work and family history and then setting up the OB appointment for ultrasound, etc. I should be little over five weeks tomorrow. Nurse said that's standard?

Mine isn't until 10 weeks but the midwifery practice I was at when pregnant with DD saw you at 6 weeks. Different practices do different things.

Here they schedule the first appointment at around 8 weeks unless there are any issues.

I got an appointment the day after I got my BFP because of a previous loss. I will go again on Wednesday for another ultrasound. With DS though I didn't actually get seen by the doctor until 9 weeks so that's pretty standard.

My first appointment is at 6w. I am seeing a midwife and they like to do an intro appt and get to know each other. My second will be at 10w and hopefully will be able to hear baby. I'm not anticipating an early ultrasound, but because my due date based on LMP is two weeks off they may want to order a dating scan.

8 weeks sounds perfectly fine, no need to push for an earlier appt.

I am being followed by an RE. My first appointment is at 7.5 weeks and it is an US appointment. I get one two weeks after that as well.... then released back to my OB.

I had an appointment last week at 4w where I basically just got a prescription for blood work. I have an ultrasound scheduled for 6w6d on November 19. I am happy I get to go early but I wouldn't have minded waiting until 8 weeks or so because you will be able to see more.

I just made mine today and this doctor doesn't see you until between 10 and 12 weeks. I have my appointment right at 10 weeks.

Nurse visit around 7 weeks then doctors visit sometime after that. My last pregnancy my first doctors visit wasn't until after 11 weeks. I don't think it'll be quite that late this time around but who knows? I'm at a different practice now since I moved.

I am going for my intake appointment with the NP on Friday. They'll schedule the 8 week appointment from there.

My first appointment isn't until Dec 1st. I'll be 9 weeks. It seems so far away, but I know the time will fly by.

I went last week at 5w2d (they offered it when I called before 5 weeks, and I took advantage and said yes because DH and I were both off work and that NEVER happens). However, they don't typically do it until 8 weeks. The midwife says another appt at 8 weeks would be redundant, so I don't go back til Dec 19th (which will be 12 weeks).

Seems about right. I'm about 5 weeks along and my first appointment is on November 21st. I'll be a little over 8 weeks then. My doctor breaks it into two appointments for some reason, so I have another one December 3rd. I think that's how long I have to wait to get my first US, ugh!!

My first appt is next week at 5w4d. It will be just bloodwork to confirm pregnancy. Then the ultrasound appt they try to do at 6-7 weeks. It varies! I was expecting something like 10 weeks because I heard that was common.

My doctor said between weeks 10-12. Being high risk I'm nervous about the wait! Dating ultrasound in the next two weeks.

Well, my DH flew off the rocker last night and booked a different doctor to see at 6 weeks, just before we leave for Thanksgiving and our honeymoon. I tried telling him there is nothing to see at 6 weeks and he said "then I want to see nothing". So I think it's safe to say I procreated with a crazy person. LOL

I just saw my Dr for my yearly September 23rd. I've also been her patient for 17 years so they said they'll see me at 8 weeks aka November 28th.

BFF's Dr likes to do a 6 week check up. Guess it just depends.

My first was at 4 weeks. Second at 5 weeks along with first ultrasound. I've been in many other times for blood work. Second ultrasound scheduled for 7 weeks.

I had mine at about 6 weeks and 6 day. They took down history and did a papsmear. My next appointment is dec. 18 i will be about 13 weeks preg.

I'm 5 weekd today and first Doctor's appointment is Dec 9th too. I'll be almost 9 weeks. I think 8-10 weeks is that normal unless your having problems

My first one is tomorrow, which seems to be pretty early compared to most others. I skipped two periods though (I took so many tests it wasn't even funny during that first skipped month, all negative) and then got a positive on Nov. 8. Our math should be correct on when I ovulated in October.

I skipped like this once earlier this year, got negative tests and made an appointment with my doctor to make sure nothing was wrong. She told me that sometimes you don't ovulate every month, which had never happened to me until after I got off the pill. Either way, I'm hoping I'm right on the date or they can tell me tomorrow how far along I am.

LMP was October 3, EDD July 10th and my first apt is next Friday, the 21st. I will be 7 weeks on the dot.
