Husband likes trendy names....

DH and I haven't talked much about baby names, because he wants to find out what we're having first. We have thrown around a few names for fun though. With boy names we have the same taste, or maybe I'm just not as picky.. not sure which. But I can tell that we are going to struggle if we have a girl.

So far, the only girl names that he has thrown on the table is McKenzie (I vetoed that one long before we got pregnant) & Kinsley. Both make me cringe. He also knows a LOT of people and doesn't want to name our baby the same name as someone he knows..... and that's going to be impossible.

Maybe you all can give me some more suggestions to consider? I definitely don't want to settle for a made up name. 

My short girl list: 
Amelia
Claire
Elisabeth/Betsy (dislikes Betsy, too close to his grandmother Betty)
Emily
Elena (he works with a woman named Elaine & thinks it's too close)
Elise
Savannah (my guilty pleasure name)
Stella (his friend goes by Stelly, says no. I LOVE THIS NAME!)

    Oh my goodness, do I feel your pain!! My dh tends to like cutesy/trendy names. It has been such a struggle! I would try this with your current list, and I'll try to add a few others.

    Amelia - would he like it if her nn was Amy?

    I completely forgot to give him credit for this one, but one night he did say that he likes Eliza!!! (because it's different and he's not familiar with it ;) ) 

     But I'll take it! I do love Eliza and have to put it back on my list before I forget again.

    Is Myla the same as Mila? I do have Mila on my long list. It's taken a while to grow on me, but I really like it now.

    I do like Grace, Cora, and Millie. If we go with Emily, I'd like to use the nick name Millie.
