Pardon my cheesiness...

But I can't tell you all how glad I am to have found this board!

I know I haven't even met any of you yet and haven't even been posting that long, but this has been so therapeutic for me!!!

Since DH and I are still fairly new to the area, we really don't have friends and our closest family is almost 4 hours away. So life can be lonely. Especially because DH got promoted recently and works a little more than he used to.

I'm really looking forward to developing some friendships (and our babies too) and seeing where this all goes. Because Lord knows I need it!

    Not cheesy at all! I only wish everyone had been posting when DD was a newborn, talk about lonely! Had no idea what I was doing as a new mom, sleep deprived, my family lives in FL and don't really have any close friends with small kids near me.  Oh, and my husband got a promotion after birth of DD too and was having to work later than normal and was on call a lot, so lets just he wasn't really focused as much on parenthood, I'm right there with you!

    @vlagroupie Thank you for making me feel better. :) Sounds like we've gone through some similar stuff. My DH and I moved up here from Florida. Where is your family at down there? We were in the Tampa/St Pete area.

    @ladytiffany24 my fam lives in Orlando, my best friend lives in Tampa and is preggers now! I miss FL so much especially this time of year.  But, I've lived here for over 10 years now, it just sucks not to have my mommy around ;-) Thankfully I do have my husbands family here but it's not the same.  I checked out some mom groups on meetup.com but it seemed like everyone has kids that were much older.  Looks like a lot of the ladies on here have babies under 1 year old so we can get kiddos together that are the same age.

    I think a lot of us are in the same boat. I've been in Dayton for about 7 years but recently all my girl friends moved away. I'm really excited to make new friends, especially ones who I can lean on for baby support!
