Hand foot mouth?

my son has had cold like symptoms and some stomach issues the past two weeks but seems to be on the upswing. I noticed tonight he has a few bumps around his mouth (Looks like saliva rash) and some on his arms and legs. I can't deal with another illness! For those who had dealt with hfm does this sound like the symptoms?

    DS had HFM. Basically he started with a fever, then developed the rash. It started at his mouth, then his legs and hands. He was very sensitive about eating anything. He spent the first day really lethargic and slept and slept. He couldn't even stay awake for more than an hour at a time. The next day he was in pain. It took him about a good week to get his personality and appetite back, and several days for the rash to start healing. He did end up getting some blisters on his hands and feet, so it was hard for him to walk comfortably for a few days. I hope your LO doesn't have it. It was not fun by any means. It was the most sick DS had ever been was with HFM.

    Ditto this.  DS2 was home from daycare for 2 weeks!!!!!!  It was insane.  I guess all kids can get varying degrees of it, but for us, it was not normal cold symptoms type of sick.  He was miserable for a really long time.

          DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13

    Well he actually seems healthier since the rash occurred. I'm hoping it's just a rash bc We've dealt with a long string illnesses the past month. Fingers crossed.
