Great News Everyone!

So today, Reese had *drumroll*

Her LAST weekly doctor's appointment!

Since January we have driven her to the doctors at least once a week, maybe twice for months. Her oncologists is an hour and fifteen minutes away. 

Today all her numbers were good enough to officially start maintenance chemo. She will be on maintenance chemo for 2 years! But those doctors appointments are only once a month. For the first few months, she will have a spinal tap every month; but eventually it will move to every 3 months. We still have to have her on predisone for 5 days every month and oral chemo every night. (She can't eat two hours before or after, so we give it to her before we go to bed)

We were so proud of her today, she didn't cry getting her port accessed, didn't complain that she couldn't eat breakfast and didn't flinch during her spinal tap. 

She should be getting her port out next month. 

Her doctors have cleared her for her Make a Wish trip next month. In fact, her next doctors appointment is AFTER the trip.
