Those of you that are bottle feeding: any tips and tricks to share? I have a sink full of bottles EVERY NIGHT. Anyone have any helpful hints to make this a bit less cumbersome?
We use the playtex nursers so I only have to clean the nipple. I use other bottles as well but being able to toss the liner does cut back on my washing.

I only wash one a day.
I bought the drop ins thinking they would fit in other types of bottles. No dice. I have medela and tommee tippee bottles. :-<
I wash whenever he's napping, and have learned to wash while holding him, though the Dr. brown bottles are more difficult. One of my pet peeves is dirty bottles, so I'll even put him in the swing or momaroo to clean them if there's 2 or more waiting. But, I also keep a bowl of soapy water in the sink and put the pieces in the bowl immediately after use; it makes cleaning multiple at once a bit easier.

I don't use a new bottle every time. We just rinse after he is done with extremely hot water and a little bit of soap and use the same bottle. That way, I don't have to put a ton of them in the dishwasher every night.

This for us too. I use the same one almost all day.
I know at night we make up 5-6 bottles for the MOTN feedings so I dont have to make one at 2am. But I'm just too lazy to wash the same bottle every time.
We use medela and tommee tippee bottles too and I drop them into the dishwasher. I have one of those cage thingies for the smaller parts. I do this with my pump parts too. We only have 1-2 bottles at night, so I go a couple days without washing them. I don't hand wash them/sterilize them anymore. Ain't nobody got time for that.
I bought about 12 bottles so that I can throw about 6 in the dishwasher at a time and have another 6 to use. I prep 5 bottles for MOTN feedings and run the dishwasher before I go to bed. Then in the morning I have a new set clean and I throw the MOTN bottles in the dishwasher. I feel like the dishwasher gets the bottles cleaner than I can washing by hand. The water is so much hotter in the dishwasher!

Me too. Some of these questions, like this and the sterilization one and the changing poopy diapers one make me think I might be a bad mom. I never thought about it. I just did it.
I do have one side of the sink filled to soak, like GDF said. But we rinse and use a lot too.
Now I wonder if I could use the same idea as I do with my pump parts. Keep them rinsed and in the fridge all day and wash them once at the end of the day...? Do this with one bottle and make up a few for MOTN. Anyone?

Sounds legit.
We bought a 32 oz container to mix formula in. We fill it every night and keep it in the fridge. We just fill from that when we need a bottle for the next 24 hours. Would that system help with MOTN? And just rinse bottles or stuff one in the fridge like you would pump parts?
We have so. Many. Bottles. I'm convinced we could really just have one. But I Have a few different kinds I wanted to try and I got a deal on a set and it just snowballed. We have to have 20 now. I figure some can live at husband's cousin's house (watching A 2x a week) and some at MIL's house (the other 3 days).
S/o bottle question: share your dishwasher basket with me. I have one but it seems small (rectangular). I'm probably not doin' it right and I need to Google.

We don't use the basket for bottles themselves. Just small parts like caps, nipples, pump parts.
Us, too. I guess the one time I actually used the basket I had like 8 bottles so they didn't fit well. I just don't know what all the little compartments are for. I just shoved all the nipples in it willy nilly.

The Munchkin one has like a pocket on the side? I have no idea what to stick in there. Otherwise the bottom compartment gets the hard plastic bits and the top portion gets the nipples.

I rambled. Sorry.
Yeah, breastmilk is good for a few days in the fridge. It also leaves a greasy-ish residue on the bottles that doesn't just rinse off easily. I guess I could just wash the one bottle every time throughout the day. It only takes a minute. Then just have bottles prepared for MOTN and those can go in the dishwasher.
I wish I had 20 bottles! The glass ones are a bit expensive so we have about 10, and I don't put anything plastic through the dishwasher, so I do quite a bit of hand washing. My hands are so freaking dry!!!!

So I rinse my pump parts and let them air dry. Is that a no go?
I am so glad this thread exists. I am totally going to try using less bottles
Its recommended you don't rinse them and keep them in the fridge. Not in a sealed bag either. I keep mine in an uncovered Tupperware dish and wash them and the dish once every 24 hrs.
@spurp13 We have this one. Here's a pic of it empty and how they fill it up. It has a top shelf where the nipples go.
I have this one too. But I have tommee tippee bottles and the nipples are huge so I can only fit a few in there. Instead I just hand wash nipples and throw them in the steam sanitizer bag
