Re: High Risk Check In (2 days late)

  • 1st pregnancy, EDD 6/19/15, blood pressure & asthma

How far along are you? - today I am 8 weeks!

How are your symptoms? once I got my Acid Reflux under control (went back onto my omeprazole), all sickness pretty much went away, just tired and dealing with a head cold now

    Rants/Raves?
RANT - don't know how I will make it through this pregnancy without seriously snapping on my coworker. Today I just walked away while she was talking to me because it was better (for both of us) that way.

    Upcoming appointments?
    12/1 - will be our 2nd appointment

Any major milestones or major events?
we heard the heartbeat last night!!!!!!

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? something along the lines of what Alex MAck did - just morph into a blob and be able to get out of any situation.

  • Hi all!
This is my 2nd pregnancy. I'm high risk due to AMA and high BP. My EDD is 6/12.

    I am 9 wks today.

So far fatigue has been my only symptom. Which I'm thankful for but would like the reassurance of some sore boobs or something everyone in a while.

    Crappy frozen pizza is awesome!

My next appt is 11/21. I have to go every 2 wks due to my BP.

    No major milestones.

My super power would be that I could fly! I'm sure there is something more useful or creative but flying would be incredible!
  • How far along are you?
    eight weeks tomorrow.

    How are your symptoms?
I'm just happy to have symptoms! The nausea I was out of control today. My breasts are very sore. I can only eat about two bites without feeling sick. I have spouting off and on. The fatigue is so bad!

    Rants/Raves?
I really just want to tell everyone but I'm to afraid after the loss of my last pregnancy.

    Upcoming appointments?
I go on Monday for another scan to see if the bleeding has stopped.

Any major milestones or major events?
I'm just thankful to get through each day!

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would be able to freeze and fast-forward time. I so badly want to fast forward to holding this Baby in my arms. Having a late loss and then being high risk from day one with bleeding really can't take the joy out of being pregnant. Trying so hard to be positive. I'm so very thankful to be pregnant but it's hard doing being scared every day

    Hi everyone!

My EDD is 06/19/15. I am 8 weeks pregnant as of today! This is my first pregnancy.

I'm high risk because of a clotting disorder called Van Willebrand factor VIII and also possible thyroid issues.

My first appointment will be on 11/13/14, so next Thursday.

Symptoms: My boobs are sore and I've had some bone pain around my hip area. Also, I pretty much have heartburn every day. So far my nausea has been very mild and only lasts a minute at a time.

    Milestones: I'm pregnant!

Superpower: To silence people, helicopters and leaf blowers at will. What can I say? I love my peace and quiet.

    How far along are you?
    9 weeks 3 days

    How are your symptoms?
Manageable, except for the fatigue. And recent high blood pressure. I've been enrolled at Mt. Sinai in Toronto, in the Special Pregnancy Program for moms with health problems so that I'm carefully followed.

    Rants/Raves?
My FIL gets on every nerve in my body. Hormones are flaring. And I hate that I'm under review for preclampsia. I'm scared.

    Upcoming appointments?
Not sure when! I'm waiting to meet my obgyn at this SPP.

Any major milestones or major events? Moving today, trying not to get stressed over it... and try taking it easy when you are working full time, travel an hour and a half to and from work each way... and moving ! OK I guess that's another rant lol sorry! Shoot me lol

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To be 100% certain my baby will be ok

Oh and I thought I wrote in this high risk before, but in case I'm wrong. My 4th pregnancy. 1 deceased son 11 years ago passed away from heart complications after us fighting every day for 11 months. 2nd loss was ectopic, 3rd was a miscarriage this May. Now... praying for our miracle baby!
  • ITP/Autoimmune here

    How far along are you?
    10 weeks

    How are your symptoms?
Not too bad, mostly nauseous and tired

    Rants/Raves?
My mother is being a crazy person about her first grand baby and is planning to tell the WHOLE family without my consent

    Upcoming appointments?
Next week, just a monthly check up

Any major milestones or major events?
I made it past 8 weeks- for some reason that was a big milestone for me!

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Moving stuff with my mind- I'm so lazy :)
  • 8w6d with my first pregnancy, due June 14, just deemed high risk yesterday due to bmi, pcos, unexplained family history of loss, and insulin resistance

How far along are you? 8w6d!

How are your symptoms? I feel pretty much normal, other than my stomach doing a Rollercoaster all day long. Lol

Rants/Raves? I wish pregnant people were treated like China dolls and given lots of money, and pampered until the baby pops out so they have as little stress as possible. I don't think that's too much to ask. Lol

Upcoming appointments? Next one is just "ob" shopping! Next ultrasound is the 25th :)

Any major milestones or major events? Saw a baby looking blob with a heartbeat yesterday instead of a squid looking one! Lol

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Telekinesis, definitely! I could get into all sorts of trouble with that.... :)
PCOS- finally pregnant after 3 years of IF treatment, including 4 failed IUI.

Lucky IUI #5 currently growing in my belly!

    Daisypath Anniversary tickers

  • Hi all, this is my first pregnancy and I'm just over 10 weeks. Due date is June 4. I'm considered high risk because of a heart condition (Long QT syndrome).

Symptoms: I've been feeling mostly normal. Little tired, but nothing too complain about.

Rants/raves: just looking forward to sharing the good news! A little worried about giving my condition to the baby because it's genetic, but it's a pretty manageable condition so the baby should be fine either way.

Upcoming appointments: just met with a new electrocardiologist to help me set up a plan for care. Next ob appointment is right before thanksgiving. Might do blood work for genetic screening before then.
  • Hi all! EDD June 8, 5th pregnancy, 4th and 5th babies. I am high risk due to having mo-mo twins, which will be confirmed again at my appointment on Monday. Mo-mos share a sac and are at extremely high risk for cord accidents due to entanglement / compression. I will be going inpatient at 24 weeks for constant monitoring and delivering around 32 weeks at the latest.

How far along are you? 9w5d

How are your symptoms? Ugh. I'm glad to have symptoms but I'm basically bedridden. I can't do anything.

Rants/Raves? My condition is so rare that it's very hard to find a doctor who knows the best treatment plan. Thankfully there is a huge mo-mo support group that keeps up with the latest re commendations

Upcoming appointments? Monday we have a level II scan

Any major milestones or major events? We just found out that it's twins, and then that it's mo-mos. we are still learning what that means for us

GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Ute goggles. Wouldn't it be nice to see in there?

    Love is multiplied: DS #1: 1.5.99 ~ DS #2: 9.23.11 ~ DD 8.29.13

    m/c 11/12/12 - sleep tight baby bean.

Bitty Baby #4, please stick around - we already love you so very much!

    Ultrasound 11/4 - TWO HEARTBEATS!!!

How are your symptoms? The nausea is getting pretty awful, sometimes I wish I could just throw up & get it over with.
Rants/Raves? Had to go to the doctor again this morning because of bleeding. According to my nurse, I'm "really vascular." The squirt is doing just fine, but I could do without all the drama.
Upcoming appointments? Next Friday should be graduation day from the RE. I still need to make an OB appt, but couldn't do that til I knew when the RE was getting rid of me.
Any major milestones or major events?
GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? The ability to see into the future.

  • First check-in but knew I'd be here again. 2nd pregnancy 2nd baby, PCOS, cyst on ovary, and GD official (again) as of yesterday.
    8 weeks 4 days.
Rant - Still bummed I can't have my doctor/clinic from my first pregnancy because of insurance changes. I need to get over it already, I've tried everything, but they were the best by far in the area.
Going to the GD clinic for my glucose meter in an hour. At least GD will be so much easier this time around.
Superpower: Time travel would be fun but I'd pick precognition. Handy, though a burden, to know the future.

How far along are you? 10 weeks, 4 days
How are your symptoms? Bah, terrible but I'm trying not to mind them. Morning sickness all day long.
Rants/Raves? I just wish I could eat normally again.
Upcoming appointments? I had one today!
Any major milestones or major events? We had a great sonogram and baby is measuring on time. Our MAJOR genetic test went in the mail today.... so prayers that is comes back negative next week!!
GTKY: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I wish I could heal people. Maybe we all wouldn't be here if that was the case. :(
  • 10w1 day pregnant with my 1st - EDD of June 9th :) High risk due to Lyme disease and hypothyroidism.

Symptoms? Nausea! Dizziness and some trouble sleeping. Fatigue and sore boobs. Slight return of my Lyme symptoms in the first couple weeks but thankfully tapering off now.

Rants/raves? Rave: We heard the heartbeat today! Music to my ears. Rant: my Lyme specialist and OB don't always agree on a course of treatment during pregnancy, leaving me a little stuck in the middle at times. Wish there was more research on Lyme and pregnancy :(

Major milestones: Ultrasound in two weeks! Can't wait to see the little stinker.

GTKY: Ability to see into the future to make sure the baby is born healthy. Oh, and the Mary Poppins ability to snap my fingers and clean my house. I'm a slob right now with the fatigue!

  • 9 weeks EDD June 17th with my fist pregnancy. High risk due to type 2 diabetes, PCOS, and a cyst on my left ovary that my doctor is keeping an eye on.

Rants/Raves: I have had cramps through out this pregancy and they make me worry because they are mainly on the side that I have my ovarian cyst. It doesn't help that I am a worrier!

Major milestones: hearing the heart beat was amazing! Also meeting with my endocrinologist and getting reassured that I am doing the right thing health wise. It reassures me that my baby is okay.

GTKY: The ability to fast forward and know that my baby will be okay, and to wake up will amazing looking hair everyday!
