Crazy Rash

16 weeks pregnant and I have been dealing with a crazy rash all over my arms, back of my knees, hips, lower bsck, and yes, my butt! I've tried everything.. Calamine, Benydryl, Oatmeal baths even a steroid cream my OB said I could use sparingly.... Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to soothe the itch?? I have an appt with my dermatologist in 2 weeks but I don't know if I can make it that long!!!

Have you changed anything like laundry detergent or been exposed to any new soaps/shampoo? I had this and my dermatologist narrowed it down to pregnancy hormones reacting to the disinfectant at my gym. Nothing would help mine either I just had to figure out what was making mine react and eliminate it. Hope you can find some relief!

Oh i am scratching with you! I have gotten horribly itchy rashes with both pregnancies. I was told by my dermatologist to use Serna ( it's an OTC) lotion to help calm my itch and apply it immediately after showering. This helps so much and I can apply it multiple times a day. He also gave me a prescription for desonide which helps clear my rash but can only be used 2x daily.

My dermatologist told me I had scabies that I may have gotten from work, but didn't see mites in my scrapping he treated me anyway. However the rash and itching have gotten worse since.. He said it will itch for another week or so. I don't think that's what it is since the rash is spreading still and scabies usually are concentrated in certain areas... But I will try that cream you suggested. I was also told Grandpas Pine Tar Soap by a friend who had the pregnancy rash her entire pregnancy! She said it smelled horrible but worked! Thanks for the advice everyone!! Hopefully I find something that works!
