Breastfeeding

How often?

How often do you nurse your 3-4 month old?  My daughter is about 7-8 times a day....

Re: How often?

  • This answer is going to vary widely. It depends on the length of your nursing sessions, how much LO transfers each session, whether she is bottle fed expressed milk and nursed, whether she sttn, etc. The average breastfed baby drinks 25 oz in 24 hours and there are a lot of ways to get there!

At that age, my LO drank 12 to 16 oz in 3 to 4 bottles at daycare plus nursed morning evening (often cluster), before bed and sometimes motn several times.
