Interesting article on 24 hour day care

This was on my Facebook feed. And some of the comments there were so ignorant.
My TTC History:
2009: missed miscarriage #1 at 9 weeks (trisomy 16)
2010: Infertility
2011: Diagnosis and treatment (low sperm count, anastrozole for DH, clomid for me + IUI)
2012: Baby #1
2014: Baby #2
October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)
March 2016 BFP#5, due November 2016.

  • I thought the article was a little patronizing as well.  The mom they talked about is with her kids from 2:30-5:30 every day, all night, and most weekends.  And when she isn't with them, they are with steady, experienced caregivers who know them.  Why is the author acting like this is so sad?

  • This is just the overnight manifestation of the "oh....day care" thing. You know, where people pity you and your children when they find out the kids are not at home with Mrs. Doubtfire all day? Ugh.

  • Yeah, this article is obnoxious. These children are cared for by loving daycare providers. They are safe, clean, and healthy. Let's focus on the children and families who are not so fortunate.
    DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.
