Hey ladies! So im 16.5 weeks and for the past week i've been getting horrible migraines that literally wont go away. I will take some tylenol and they will lessen for an hour or so, but then come back full force. This has been happening nonstop for a week, my doctor gave me acetamenaphan with codine last week and when i took it my headache got much worse. I just dont know what to do at this point and Im desperete for these headaches to stop.
Re: Migraines wont go away
Are you drinking caffeine? For a 2 extra strength Tylenol, small cup of coffee, a bottle of water, and rest helps.

Cue me holding back the urge to scream yes in their face.
OP I feel you. What has worked for me is what seems the simplist. Lying/sleeping in a dark room with a cold compress. Drink something with caffeine. Lots and lots of water. Sometimes a shower with essential oils such as eucalyptus or peppermint help too. Hang in there sweetie...if they get really really bad talk to your OB about other options too!

I agree with the peppermint suggestion. I had a migraine last Friday. I tried aroma therapy plus a massage and a heat patch and my migraine was gone the next morning. Something to consider.
My OB told me that some recent studies have shown that women who suffer from migraines are also at an increased risk for hyperemesis! You have no idea how many times I've cursed the unfairness of that!
From a migraine sufferer with severe HG (currently on a PICC line/daily TPN and fluids) BUT hasn't had a migraine since getting pregnant, my sympathies are with you. HG is awful but knowing the pain of migraines, I feel for you!
