  I thought the article was a little patronizing as well.  The mom they talked about is with her kids from 2:30-5:30 every day, all night, and most weekends.  And when she isn't with them, they are with steady, experienced caregivers who know them.  Why is the author acting like this is so sad?

  This is just the overnight manifestation of the "oh....day care" thing. You know, where people pity you and your children when they find out the kids are not at home with Mrs. Doubtfire all day? Ugh.

  Yeah, this article is obnoxious. These children are cared for by loving daycare providers. They are safe, clean, and healthy. Let's focus on the children and families who are not so fortunate.

  @ClaryPax‌ all hell broke loose at our dinner table last night, and both parents were there.
  
  What's really cause for consternation is not 24 hr daycare, but the fact that parents working 2 jobs still require child care subsidies.
