AHHH - I might cry!

I forgot the flanges for my pump today so I haven't been able to pump this morning and there is no place close by to buy extras! I have to drive home on my lunch break to get them and it will take about an hour just for that. Also AF is visiting so my supply this week is already a bit low, pity party...

Re: AHHH - I might cry!

  • I am so sorry!!!

I've been afraid of this so I put extra parts (pumping bags included) at work.

I hope your day gets better!

  • The worst! I've left my entire pump at home a couple times. Once DH was actually not traveling and able to bring it to me and the other time I left work and worked from home. The worst was once I left it at work on a Friday and was going to be away from DS all weekend and had to go back to the office at midnight when I realized and have security let me in to get it. The guard thought I was crazy.

I hope you can just leave and stay home the rest of the day :)

  • I am so sorry.  Is it possible for you to hand express some?  You can at least get some milk, relieve discomfort and tell your body to keep making milk.

  • Oh no! I once lost pump parts in my car when traveling which sucked!

Hopefully you can work from home or pump on the way back to the office!
  • Thanks ladies. i was able to leave a little early for lunch and ran home to get the parts and pumped on my way back to work then wolfed down a PB&J for lunch. For some reason I have extras of everything except the flanges. Guess I what I will be shopping for this weekend!
  • This happened to me multiple times including my first day back from ML. The other thing I would do periodically is forget my hands free pumping bra. Ruins your day!

  • My first day back from ML was my students last day of school before the summer. I forgot my tubing and couldn't leave to go home. They all wanted to hug me, see and talk about the baby. My boobs were literally exploding!!!!! I soaked through my breast pads, tank top, top shirt, and used a zip up hoodie in JULY in FL! I feel your pain!
  • UGH!! Where are the delivery people for random shit when you need them? There should be an insta-amazon for things like this. Hope you got to them and felt some relief.
  • I forgot the plastic piece that goes behind the membrane yesterday. Went home at 10am and worked from there (40 min ride w/out traffic). Today I forgot the flanges (in the clean, but full dishwasher). Fortunately the other pumping mom had a spare set with her today.

I'm a hot mess this week.

  • ksulli Man that sucks, but glad the other mom had spare parts for you. I am a hot mess as well. After I went home to get parts and pump while driving back yesterday I forgot my cell phone at home when I ran in and DH was trying to get a hold of me all afternoon and thought something was wrong! Ugh - too much going on, too much to keep track of, too much stress and not enough sleep!

Well, they're working on the 10 minute drone delivery!

  • I did this once. I live almost an hour from work so my only option was to buy a manual pump from a pharmacy nearby. Expensive mistake. :(
