Happy Veterans Day! DH is home with LO today while I'm at work and I'm so jealous! I find it ironic that I work for a major defense corporation that employs many veterans, yet we have to work on Veterans Day.
Julia has decided that she's done with bottles. As of Sunday afternoon, she flat out refuses to drink her formula from a bottle and will only drink it from a straw cup. I had never even given formula to her in a straw cup, only water and prune juice but she decided on her own that that was her new preferred formula delivery system. Feeding time has just become even more messy.
I'm home with my boys today. G decided that sleeping was for losers last night. We could hear him babbling to himself at 1, 3, and 5. Not cool little man. I tried to explain that we could sleep in today but he didn't want to hear it .

at least you won't have to deal with bottles anymore?
LO came home from daycare yesterday with a note saying some of the kids in his class have RSV and he may have been exposed. He was fussy and slept restlessly all night long and woke up with an awful cough this morning. I'm really hoping it's just a cold and not actually RSV.
I am at work, with a very twitchy eye. I am starting to become concerned. Its my L eye and has been twitching since Sunday. I think its from stress and lack of sleep though really. My oldest refused bottles on her own at 11 months. Trust me after having to bottle break a baby a few years later I would much rather have it the other way. Sorry its messy. It will get easier soon
DH & I got his parents to babysit this last weekend. We pretty much got birthday & Xmas present shopping for both boys done in one day. We still have a few select items we are going to get online, butactually came out very happy with the financial damages. We got some great deals on some stuff they are going to LOVE! The joys of 2 birthdays AND Xmas in the same month!
Now I just have the parties them selves to tackle. Super Heroes for our to-be 3 yo and Cars/Trucks (anything with wheels) for DS2's 1st birthday. I'm trying to be proactive so these things don't sneak up on me & they end up just thrown together things!
I don't mind Julia not wanting the bottle anymore as long as she keeps drinking her formula. I was actually really concerned on Sunday when she kept refusing a bottle from 9:30am until bedtime. That's when I decided to try the straw cup and she sucked that thing down. She has also decided that she wants to try all the table food now where she used to just play with it. It's like overnight she has decided to exert her independence with eating and drinking. My baby is growing up!
I took today off to get my teeth cleaned, hair done and decorations purchased for DS birthday coming up. It's been a fabulous day off so far. I got to drink a Starbucks peppermint mocha and eat my breakfast in peace!

With ya mama! I have a 12 yr old turning 13 the 29th of Dec and LO turning 1 on the 17th. I am busy and broke!
Sometimes I ready regret taking on watching the 2 kids I nanny for. It gets to be too much when my child doesn't nap (and she never does when we're here), the 3 month old is fussy, and the 4 year old is wanting a snack or for me to play a game. It is temporary and we all survive but it's stressful sometimes.
I'm sorry!! I have a job from 4:30pm-6:30pm and all day Saturday. I'm actually considering a nanny job for a 17month old 9:30a-2:30pm. The more I think about the more I think I'm crazy!
Just finishing up my second pump of the work day and I have a whopping 2 ounces in the fridge. I think I'm just about done with breastfeeding. I dropped my morning pump, which LO eats maybe 30-40 minutes after, and didn't pump on vacation last month since LO was with me. Its been all downhill from there.
I took the boys to a big indoor play area today and it was crazy busy. They had fun though. Some mom got a little judgey on me because G isn't walking yet. What ever.

WTF? I kind of got that this weekend from my in-laws. Apparently the other 2 grandchildren walked early (they claim one walked at 7 months) and they were making comments implying that something might be wrong with Julia because she's not walking at 10 1/2 months. Why do people think babies should be walking so early?

My mom asked me if there was something wrong with LO when he was 9 months because he didn't seem too interested in walking yet. She was truly concerned and not judgey, but still, it kinda annoyed me. Let babies be babies!

It wouldn't be so bad if T would nap. I watch the kids at their house (I bring the pnp for her to nap in) so I think it throws her off. But not napping means she crawls around whining and wanting me to hold her which I would but the little guy needs attention as well (holding, bottles, ect). If your kids would nap I'm sure it would be ok.
That's a bummer. Maybe on the days you have off you can practice sleeping in the PnP. Neither of my kids are fans of them. I bought a mattress for ours when I stayed at my moms for 2 weeks. Once I did that LO slept fine in it.
Off to the store to buy all new winter gear for the two oldest. I was in denial about winter and waited for the first snow storm to let the kids put on the winter coats and low and behold neither fit. So bye bye overtime money I thought we could enjoy.....sigh.
