Today is a day of snuggles for my LO as he fights his first ear infection. I will also get dinner in the crockpot soon and workout and shower when he naps.
1) Wash floors and cabinets - DH put in a new sink and faucet this weekend and he had to cut out the countertop, so the whole kitchen is covered in sawdust.
2) vacuum and dust.
3) finish my quilt block for last week's class and call the instructor to find out what I missed at yesterday's class (I had to help DH install said sink that should have been an easy drop in, but was not because the original installers took too many corners in their installation).
4) clean bathrooms if I have the previous three items done
@farmrsboywife I believe when we moved in August we packed the toys up a week before moving and just kept two of those cube drawer things - 1 with color books/crayons, and reading books. The other with blocks, dolls and a few other faves. Those are what we took in the car.
There was a huge park across from that house that I took the kids to most days of that week.
Clean & stage kitchen
Vacuum floors again
Pick up toys and re-stage the kid's room
Go to store and pick up more butter. It's seriously crazy how much I go through in a week with this kid, and she gives Paula Deen a run for her money.
@bostonkisses hahah!! YUM! What does she like to eat (or need to eat?) with so much butter in it? For us, it's bacon. We go through 2lbs a week!
We leave Friday morning at 8:30/9am. I have boxes of toys I packed up weeks ago for each day of the trip. It's just the rest of the toys. Maybe I'll just leave out the trucks and current favorites and pack the rest
@farmrsboywife ugh, moving is so hard (not just physically!) Are y'all driving to your new state/city?

Yeah, my mom and I are leaving Friday and my husband and dad are leaving Saturday. We are driving (from New England to South GA) but my mom and I are doing it over 3 days.
Dh and I did that drive when dd1 was about 4 mo old. We drove from Boston to Atlanta to visit family and then to Houston where we used to live.

We did that! Meaning, we took 3 days to drive from TX to CA. We actually really enjoyed it!

I would do a happy dance for hours if my kid would actually eat more than a tiny bite of bacon! All of that salt getting into her would be awesome, and I wouldn't have to supplement as much in other things.
I try to load as much as I can with butter because she loves it. Most of the time, though, she's nomming on waffles, breads/English muffins, pancakes, etc. I'm at the point where I'm probably going to start buttering pop tarts and other pastries if it means we can continue this awesome weight gain trend!
Ahh, I see... that's great that she's gaining weight!!
@bostonkisses, I just realized you are a CF-momma too!
Congrats on the weight-gain. We had our first hospital stay in August and they were preparing to have the gtube talk...Thankfully we were able to get it under control for now, it still worries me though. transitioning from purees to finger foods without losing calorie intake just doesn't seem possible! Heavy cream, scoops of formula in everything and full fat yogurt seem to be doing the trick at the moment!

@bostonkisses, it really is great for slipping into her food without making it taste gross. She stopped gaining on me and started refusing anything that needed a spoon for a few days. That made me worry, she's bfed and I add formula to her food to make up the extra calories. Discovering the heavy cream and using a straw got us back on track fast! ... I still panic when she will only eat finger foods, I keep Ramen on hand as a back up, she loves it and the sodium isn't bad for her!

@bostonkisses, I have not thought to try those! Awesome! I get the total rejection frustration, at 10 months old, she screams (while sealing her lips closed...) and covers her mouth with her hand if she doesn't want to eat off a spoon. No amount of bargaining works, even letting her feed herself with the spoon. She will NOT have it. If she gets a bottle, we add chocolate carnation instant breakfast to the formula... we're starting great habits here... but hey, it's working right?
