April 2015 Moms

Seriously though...

I have a 3 year old. She's awesome. She's a typical, strong-willed 3 year old girl. She both excites and exhausts me at the same time. So I had a SUPER awesome day off today with her. (I NEVER get days off to spend just doing mommy-daughter stuff! Always working on something...) The whole day was like a movie. Weather was awesome, she was miracously well behaved... And they 6:47pm came... When she had THE. BIGGEST. FREAKING. FIT. I have ever seen from any child!!! Threw herself on the ground, cried (screaming sob) uncontrollably, all but made herself sick fit. Because she dropped a stupid toy and I couldn't reach it. Ugh. WHY?! Seriously, why end the day like that? I'm not a terrible person, I still love her the same, I just get tired sometimes. You know?

  • She was probably tired and you should be thrilled that she made it until nearly 7pm to have a meltdown! That is amazing. You messed up her whole schedule and although I'm sure it was great fun for the both of you, she needs normal at some point and I'm amazed she made it until 7pm! You should be proud.
  • I have an 8 yr old, and I'm pretty sure his meows just now were a warning that he's just pissed in the floor .... Do I have to go check?? Lol
  • My cats and dog are fighting like cats and dogs.

  • I bet you guys werent expecting a lesbian to show up!
@Lilzeezee‌ Seriously though, Im impressed with your ability to laugh at blatantly offensive stereotypes. You rock.

This isn't backpedaling, because I still think butch fest is hilarious. it's explaining. I guess some don't know me well enough to know that my use of butch stereotypes was complete satire. I wasn't being malicious. Even if the stereotype was true in all cases, there isn't anything negative about wearing flannel, driving a Subaru baja, having Labradors, or kayaking. I think that @islandmom79‌ took it too far by saying we should have a siggy challenge and that it would be "scary." That really put a negative spin on it. There's nothing "scary" about lesbians or females who dress masculinely, IMO.
    I fucking love flannel.

  • Just throwing it out there, I was laughing until I read her post. The part where she said

'A siggy challenge? What does that look like? Just pictures of dykes like me, for people to giggle over?' Just kind of struck me. Felt pretty shitty.

Threw in the 'bet you didnt think a lesbian would show up' as a lighthearted joke. Sorry if that offended anyone. I /am/ new and obviously am not aware she was a reg, but either way, Im always impressed when people dont get butthurt over stereotypes.
  • @donnamartingraduates93‌ I love that you drew the line at marriage equality and dogs. I'm assuming I get to stay because little yappy ones aren't really dogs, yes?

-PS I will never tag you again until you get a shorter SN. I'll tag @you or @shewhomustnotbenamed. Granted that's not shorter but easier for me to remember.

Meh. Tagging doesn't mean anything to bc I don't get notifications. I have two wiener dogs. They're yappy as hell, but I like them more than 90% of people.

  • I am mostly on mobile and didn't see my notifications and have been on here just a little bit lately, but I saw all the comments and I just wanted to say sorry I offended people with my comment. I was not trying to target lesbians or anyone else. I wasn't thinking of how bad this could come across. I am all for people being who they want to be, marrying and being with who ever they want, dressing however they want, etc, I am sorry to you @Lilzeezee‌. I hate to revive this thread but I needed to say that.
