I was lucky to be prescribed Diclectin/Diclegis at 6 weeks, before morning sickness even kicked in, because of its sedative effects. I have recently tried to wean myself off of it twice and both times have encountered some serious nausea.
After my maternity clinic found out I had tried (and failed) to go off of it the first time, they asked me to try again before my 24 week appointment (next week)... Cue failure number two. My GP also seemed quite surprised that I still needed it.
Just wondering if anyone else is still in need of their anti-nausea meds and whether or not your doc has wanted you off of them? My understanding is that Diclectin is just a high dose of vitamin B with an antihistamine, so I don't know why it's a big deal to still be on it... (I will of course be asking at my next appointment.) Just curious if anyone is in the same boat?

Good luck!
I'm not glad we are all sick but I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I tried weening off Zofran a month or two ago and then got it really bad so my OB said to take the max amount. I take it around once a day now, twice if I'm really busy and on the move a lot that day.
My doc and nurse just said to take it as long as I need it, but I'm definitely going to bring it up again/remind them I'm still on it at my next appointment next week. I'm also flying for Thanksgiving and extra nervous about it since I'm still sick.
My MIL is a retired nurse and my SIL is a NP and they were concerned I was still taking meds and wanted me to try organic and natural remedies, but they can suck it because they don't know how terrible I feel and not much because the Zofran has helped.

I just saw my doctor last week and they refilled the prescription and didn't seem concerned that I was still using it. I told them that when I forget to take it or tried to cut down on the number of pills the severe nausea would return.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one still sick as we near the end of the second trimester. Anyone else get so tired of hearing "but you should be past that phase by now" or "morning sickness usually ends in the first trimester." It's like, sorry I'm a special snowflake who is still getting sick. People act almost like it's your own fault for still having morning sickness, like you asked for this or something.
