Baby Colds Whine...

I hate baby colds!!!!!!

I hate that every time I do something fun with DD in the back of my head there is a voice that says, ooooh goody in 72 hours she is going to be sick and have that damn voice be right every.single.time!!!

We went to the zoo and had a toddler play date this week.  Do you know what that means?  My little girl is now a snot princess.  She woke up crying two nights ago for the first time in what seems like a long time and the snot had begun.  Message from DC yesterday saying she was super snotty but otherwise ok.  Yellow snot last night and then a train wreck by bedtime.  I LITERALLY gave her Advil, benadryl and baby fake cough medicine (that honey crap that basically does nothing) and she slept well tonight but UGH I know this will make her miserable for days and I just hate that for her.  Oh AND i held her down for the saline/snot sucking event that basically makes me scream and look at me like I am the devil. 

BOO.  Tis the season but I thought we might have a shot at making it a little longer now that she wasn't a baby anymore.  Poor little bug.

    i'm with ya....dd got runny nose last week out of nowhere....she's been acting fine but snotty and gross....and then last night she started her i'm-going-to-cough-on-my-post-nasal-drip-and-puke thing that she does.....bad enough she didn't fall asleep til 11, then up at 1230-4am...ugh! 
    hate baby colds!

    DS has had three back to back colds. With DH and I getting at least one of the three with him. Last week at the tail end of his cold he got a double ear infection for the first time. Poor guy. Now he's majorly teething which he's never really done. I like that he can tell me what hurts but I hate hearing him say "ear bobo", "teeth bobo" and I can't do much to help. 

    I hope your DD feels better, hoping cold and flu season is a short one!

    DD is getting over a cold too. It sucks. I'm pretty sure she is cutting her last 2 canines too, so that is icing on the cake.

    DS is there too. He was coughing all night to the point that he made himself vomit this morning. I always feel so bad when he is sick. He gets himself all upset and I end up snuggling with him all day, so much for working today!

    This was us the last 2 weeks! Hope your LO feels better ASAP!!

    DS was back to back sick from January to June and then from September to now. Oh the joys of preschool. One good thing is that he is so used to the runny nose that it doesn't even bother him when he sleeps.
