Intro

Hi, I just introed on the TTGP board and I think this one is a good fit for me as well. I'm going to be TTCing in February and I'd like to lose some weight and develop healthier habits by then. I quit smoking for New Years 2014 and that has been successful. Unfortunately, quitting has come with about 30 lbs that I can't seem to get rid of again. 
I'm 5'10" and currently weigh 235. I'd love to be under 200 by the time I TTC, but I don't really think that's a realistic goal, so I'm just going to do what I can and keep trying to lose until I get a BFP. 
I've had success with weight loss before using sparkpeople.com or myfitnesspal.com as well as slimfast. I tried weight watchers, but it didn't work for me. 
I'm also trying to motivate my FI to lose weight and develop healthy habits as well.

  • Welcome!  Congrats on TTC!  It is very exciting.  I wish you luck!  I will have to check out sparkpeople..  I am a big fan of MFP myself.

    Sparkpeople is nice because it gives points and levels, so you can motivate yourself to earn those. They also occasionally give out actual products for things. Between mfp and sp though, it really seems to be personal preference.
