Poor little JJ has had BM problems since day 2. While we were in the hospital, she stopped having BM's so they had to "stimulate" her with a rectal thermometer. Thankfully that worked like a charm, but since then I've had to do it every day or two because they don't want her to go more than 24 hours without a BM. Well, today it didn't work so I called the ped and they said to give her dark Karo syrup with her formula 3xday and if it doesn't work in 24 hours I'll have to bring her in.
She was so miserable this afternoon. I tried keeping her more upright in case it was reflux, which helped a little. I tried gas drops, and as far as I can tell that did nothing. The one thing that finally calmed her down was the Moby Wrap. She conked out almost immediately, but started screaming again 10 minutes after I took her out. Eventually the crisis seemed to pass and she finally ate and is sleeping now.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Did switching formulas help? Is there anything else I can do for her?

Re: Baby poo question (TMI warning)
Hope your little one gets on a more regular schedule.
Since then he hadn't gone. My milk came in and he has been eating well. His fussiness has greatly increased. He goes to the doctor today. Hopefully the doctor can help us.
Good luck to you.
Try the tummy massage and bicycling the legs like pp mentioned and I know a lot of people who've had good luck with chiro for pooping problems.
