AW: Our baby girls are here! (XP from PAIF)

It's hard to believe that after 2 surgeries, a fresh round of IVF w/ OHSS, & 4 FETs... we finally welcomed our baby girls last Sunday, 11/2!

I was exactly 37 weeks, and woke up early that morning with contractions and leaking fluid. We headed right to L&D where they did a NST. My contractions weren't regular, and the fluid tested negative for amniotic fluid... weird. However, my BP was high and one of our baby girl's heart rates was all over the place. They admitted me right away, and did an emergency c-section.

It was a scary, fast turn of events but thankfully both of our girls checked out healthy w/ no NICU time needed! My recovery has honestly been a breeze, too. It's amazing the relief your body feels after getting 14+ pounds of babies & everything else out!

Holding them for the first time was truly the most perfect moment.

Meet April - 7 lbs 8 oz.
& Brianna - 6lbs 10 oz.
Our little miracles! :)

It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!

  • Congrats!!

"My recovery has honestly been a breeze, too. It's amazing the relief your body feels after getting 14+ pounds of babies & everything else out!"

I had a fairly good recovery with DD, who was an emergency cs, but I'm thinking wih these babies, it will be even easier (barring unforeseen complications), as it is planned (if we make it that far), and the discomforts of recovery can't be much worse than being this pregnant with twins! Glad to hear you're doing well!

@RayRay007‌ Exactly! I feel very fortunate for making it to 37 weeks, but the last couple of weeks were interesting to say the least. Wishing you a smooth delivery & healthy babies! :)

  • Way to go mom! Such healthy little beautiful babies!!! All these birth stories are getting me super excited! In 12 short weeks or less our boys will be here! Ahhh!

    10 medicated IUI's (3 with injectables).
IUI #1 (medicated) Jan. 2013-BFP!!!!- Beta's didn't double, MTX shot for possible ectopic.
    8 IUI's between April 13-April 14 = BFN
IUI #10 and final before IVF, injectables May 2014- BFP!!!!  TWINS!!!!

7 week ultrasound showed 2 wonderful heartbeats!
8 weeks to the ER with vaginal bleeding while on vacations!  Diagnosed SubChorionic Hemorrhage.  Babies are both great.
9 week ultrasound showed both babies are still great.
  • Congratulations!!! This brings tears to my eyes. So happy you are finally able to hold your little miracles. Enjoy every moment!
  • What gorgeous squishy babies!!! Good weights!!

My goodness the relief I had the minute my girls were delivered - I was having a c-section but I still felt the weight off of my spine immediately. Recovery was a BREEZE compared to the extreme pain of 37 weeks pregnant with twins!! lol
