Diaper and hospital bag

I'm currently 32 weeks and wondering when I should start packing the hospital bag and our diaper bag?! When did you pack? And what are some must haves in your bags?!

  • If you do a search about 10 different threads will show up. That answer is quicker than having to type out all the things ;)
  • This is your first post, so I will avoid the snark. I'm also assuming you won't be back to see the responses or to ever post again. But ago ahead and scroll to the bottom and use the search function. These topics have been discussed time and time again.
  • @elleswarth‌ you have such a better way with words than me ;) I'm too tired to think.
  • I didn't pack a diaper bag until after I had my baby. What's the point now, or before your baby comes?

I packed my bag around 36 or 37 weeks. Finalized my bag once I was in labor. I had a list of things I needed/wanted for my husband to gather together last minute.

  • I'll pack my hospital bag when I'm about 34 weeks, and I'll pack a diaper bag sometime before we take her out for the first time.
There are lots of lists of recommended items for hospital bags on google.
  • No worries! I won't be back to post anything with the attitude people seem to have. I just thought people could give some insight on things they have packed or like to pack that may not be on a list from Google/The Bump. I'm sorry to ask such a repetitive question! Thank you for taking time out to "avoid the snark".
  • @christyb79‌ - Welcome! You're coming in to a forum where we have been posting with each other for months and months and we're at the end of the road after discussing these things multiple times. The thing to do when joining a new group anywhere in life is to introduce yourself first instead of just firing off random questions. If you want to do that, head on over to Baby Center. Thanks!
  • @christyb79‌ yowza this whole thing made me scared to ask questions for fear of being shamed! It seems like people could just provide helpful responses or else just not respond, right?! Anyway...when I delivered my first baby, the hospital gave a very nice diaper bag (that I continued to use as his daycare diaper bag) filled with all the necessities...maybe your hospital does the same! As far as my bag, I just brought normal stuff like I was going on a weekend trip. Don't forget phone charger! One thing you can forget about is all the haters on here
  • This was handled with the utmost minimum of snark.  Suck it up, you're about to be a mother!

  • I'm pretty sure this was one of the least snarky posts. The first response was a link to a post that will give you all the answers. It wasn't even a "go search for yourself." I think it deserves a thank you not this response. If you aren't going to take the time to read others post, why would you expect others to be willing to help you without any attitude much less at all?
