Pregnant after a Loss

AW: (Again..) Anterior placenta but finally felt something...

Just wanted to share my excitement. At my 18 week scan yesterday I was told i have an anterior placenta and that is why I haven't felt much  (and she said I may not for 2 more weeks)  It was a relief to hear that. So last night after we ate at chilis we came home and I had my hand on my tummy and I felt a poke... felt just like someone poked my palm! Made DH put his had there and HE felt a poke! That little stinker waited till we told the doc we had felt nothing to say hi. lol I still don't feel the internal movements like the butterfly/popcorn/flutter stuff but every now and then I get a little poke. Thanks baby that will do. =)

And yep we are "team blue" though we are trying to stay with gender neutral stuff, so only you fabulous ladies on the board know that. (hey i had to tell SOMEONE lol)  Say Hello to my little "Peep"

  • I haven't felt all that much either. I think I felt some movement the other day but couldn't tell if it was him or my belly growling, although I ate a little while prior. Awesome update!

  • Congrats on movement and team blue! I'm jealous--haven't felt anything I'm confident about, although there have been sometimes that I've wondered if maaaaaybe that was baby. I have a posterior placenta, too!

  • Congrats on feeling movement. I found out at my last scan that mine was anterior so I'm trying chill on the whole movement thing. The responses in this thread are reassuring.

  • How exciting!  I had an anterior placenta with one of my twins in my last pregnancy and again with this baby.  It can be a pain sometimes!  But congrats on having a boy!
  • Congratulations!! It is the best feeling ever! Such an exciting moment! My little guy would dance around after I ate hot sauce or drank something sweet. You'll learn his favorites soon enough ;)
